Set: 1978-79 Topps (Rate)

Card: #132 Dale McCourt

“ This is a cool old design. ” -scottwalker29   1
“ Hey, I have this whole set! Bought a bunch of these from my friend's dad who had the local candy company. Also found them at a local convenience store. Topps in the 1970s had some great hockey designs although it seems a great many of the photos were taken at the Capital Centre as this one appears to be. ” -Gunny   5
“ Those were the days. When cards were cards. ” -jayoneill   4
“ I think Gerry Meehan of the Capitals is in better focus in this picture than poor blurry Dale. There are a lot of good action shots in this set (especially for 1978) - this is not one of them. ” -Tscastle
“ Ugly card! He had a decent career with the Red Wings. ” -tinyshogun   1
“ Nice late 70s Topps. ” -captkirk42
“ This is a classic set. The photo quality at the time wasn't the best, but the cards, for the time period, weren't bad all things considered. ” -BigBoyOnWheels   1
“ Great looking card, front and back. Might have to obtain a few. ” -NJDevils
“ Poorly lit rink photo, like many in this set. No. 1 pick in 1977's amateur draft; finished his career playing in Switzerland, where his number was retired. ” -Hawthorne61   1
“ Neat ” -pugchump
“ topps had some great designs. ” -parsley24
“ A classic design. ” -Brendan Barrick
“ Nice! The guy could score! He bought my dad a beer back in the day. ” -BigDaddy   1

Set: 2004 Score - Scorecard (Rate)

Card: #107 Terence Newman

“ Boring front and back. Not sure why this needs a SN. ” -pugchump   2
“ This really doesn't look like a parallel/numbered card, yet it is. ” -BigBoyOnWheels   1
“ Probably out of all the horrible score cards this design is not that bad, but that logo. ” -parsley24   2
“ I didn't know that Scorecard inserts used to be numbered. This must have been before Score was so incredibly base heavy. ” -NickyCollects   1
“ Nice Score football, but I hate that the only difference for the "Scorecard" variants is the word "Scorecard" on the front. Like the variants that are only different due to the color of the foil lettering. ” -captkirk42
“ I don't give a crap about football, but that is a sharp looking card. Cowboy uniforms look awesome, very cool color scheme. ” -chvlDm   1
“ This is a nice card. ” -Brendan Barrick
“ Another nice Score design. ” -muskie027   1
“ That card makes him look fast! ” -BigDaddy   1

Set: 1994 Jack Kirby: The Unpublished Archives (Rate)

Card: #47 747 Submarines

“ No idea what this is meant to be but the art is pretty cool ” -pugchump   2
“ One of my favorite artists of all time. As this card shows he always made machines look futuristic and stylish. I have never seen any of these cards before so thanks to RCotD for introducing a new set to me. ” -Gunny   2
“ Looks like it's right out of a comic book. Oh wait, it is. ” -BigBoyOnWheels   1
“ Man once again I got fooled by the image. At first sight I thought this was a card from the 1950s maybe some space themed set, or some fancy super sci-fi planes set. WRONG it's from 1994 honoring a comic artist. and SUBMARINES? ” -captkirk42   1
“ I know nothing of this. ” -muskie027   1

Set: 2000-01 Upper Deck Encore (Rate)

Card: #156 Quentin Richardson

“ This is very cool. Awesome photo on the front and an overall good design. They even got a proper headshot for the back. ” -pugchump   1
“ Not a fan. Too many logos and other things cluttering up the front. It's a pretty cool picture though. ” -BigDaddy   1
“ Like the card! Too bad he's on the Clippers. LOL ” -tinyshogun   1
“ Q ” -parsley24
“ That face mid-dunk when you realize, “I don’t think I’m going to make this”. ” -Tscastle
“ Basketball. I'm not going to try. ” -captkirk42   1
“ Card would be cool without so many lines throwing my eyes off. ” -muskie027   1
“ You probably couldn't tell this was a parallel just by looking at it (Besides the obnoxious SN1600 on the feet). They may have wanted to move that. There's a prime place just under the stat lines that would be perfect for it... ” -BigBoyOnWheels   1
“ Numbered to 1600 ” -Patrick761

Set: 1995 Fleer Ultra MTV Animation - Aeon Flux Chromium (Rate)

Card: #C9 The Sweet Bird

“ The base version of this card is pretty cool when you can actually make out the details. I bet this would look better in real life too, I’m sure the scan doesn’t help. ” -pugchump   1
“ I have no idea what this is..nor do I want to. ” -rmpaq5   3
“ Crazy looking card!!! ” -tinyshogun   1
“ This is hard to follow. Literally. ” -TwinKiller
“ Burn it. ” -NJDevils   1
“ That was a cool show, but this card is unimpressive. ” -BigDaddy   1
“ Some cards just don’t scan well ” -bigsmooth   1
“ If this was a regular "base" card I'd like it more but being a "chromium" card that means a chrome/foil card and it looks like it relies on the chrome effect to look nice in hand. ” -captkirk42
“ Okay. Random MTV Sci-Fi Dystopian TV series cards? Sure. ” -BigBoyOnWheels
“ I have no idea what this is, but the front of the card sure looks cool. ” -Bowersbird

Set: 1986 Cramer Bellingham Mariners (Rate)

Card: #124 Raul Mendez

“ Now that's a close up! ” -muskie027   2
“ Way too plain ” -pugchump   3
“ Eh. The background's a little strange. ” -TwinKiller   2
“ Go Mariners!!!! Great looking 1986 B'ham card. Probably one of the best sets Pacific every made. No weird graphics, just photo and logo.... boom ” -parsley24   1
“ Yet another picture card. The team that he played for at this time, the Bellingham Mariners, is now nonexistent. They are now the Bellingham Bells. ” -BigBoyOnWheels
“ Nice card of “Top Hat” Mendez, as he was known to his teammates. ” -Tscastle   1
“ I hate cards that don't have names on the front. ” -BigDaddy   3
“ Is there a squirrel under that hat or something? ” -NJDevils   2
“ Raul must have had a rough life or this is just a bad photo because he looks much more aged than 19. My first impression was, "Who is this old guy?" I like the card. Nice portrait, interesting background. I'm a fan of the year 1986. ” -freakizon
“ Nice minor league card. Looking just at the front it looks like a regular photo not a card. ” -captkirk42
“ 19 years old? He looks 30 ” -Young Kilo
“ Back the camera up, geez! ” -bigsmooth

Set: 2000-01 Fleer Showcase (Rate)

Card: #61 Jerry Stackhouse

“ He was a good back in the day. A two-time all star. ” -tinyshogun   2
“ I love the Pistons, but those uniforms were awful. ” -BigDaddy   8
“ Nice Fleer card. Even though I miss the Fleer brand I'm not big on these Hi-end sets that now days are normal mid to low range sets. ” -captkirk42   1
“ The card itself actually kind of looks like the old Ted Williams baseball issues. The Pistons logo on this card is actually better than the one that they're using today. ” -BigBoyOnWheels

Set: 2017 Bowman Chrome - Prospects (Rate)

Card: #BCP156 Max Fried

“ The scan doesn’t show much of the detail on the front because it’s a chrome card, but it is actually a cool design in person. ” -pugchump   1
“ Did he? ” -scottwalker29   1
“ Don't follow or watch much baseball, but I did see this guy pitching in the 2021 World Series. Wish his name was pronounced "fryed" instead of "freed". ” -freakizon   5
“ I always enjoy reading the Bowman Up Close sections on the back. You learn something interesting. And now after the WS all I hear when I see him is how Big Papi mispronounced his last name. ” -TwinKiller   2
“ The only thing that's bad about this card is the Braves logo on the back being hard to see in the scan. Otherwise, It's a great card design. ” -BigBoyOnWheels
“ How do you like your fried food....? ” -parsley24
“ I think he panned out pretty well. Again I’m just gonna praise 2017 bowman. It’s so simple but it looks so good ” -mkb
“ Nice looking card but I still hate the confusing lettering/numbering convention for Bowman Prospect cards. ” -captkirk42   1
“ This guy has mad skills! The Braves are lucky to have him. ” -tinyshogun   1
“ nice card...better player ” -Tmac7
“ This scan probably looks better than that card does in hand. You look at these chromes too hard and they're smudged. Great scan job! ” -pjdionne12   1
“ My mom thinks that Max Fried looks like Rupert Friend. I'm not sure if I agree or not, but it always amuses me when she brings it up. ” -Bowersbird   2
“ I didn't expect it, but he's turned into a very solid pitcher. ” -jdogg1228   1
“ Just OK. 7/10 ” -BigDaddy

Set: 1992 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #717 Tony Gwynn

“ 91 Upper Deck, a great set, and this is a great subset card, of a great player. Winner winner chicken dinner. [and Tony Gwynn loved a chicken dinner] ” -abide   4
“ I like 1992 UD overall but these league leader cards are much more boring. ” -pugchump   1
“ If I were a betting man, I would bet it all that Gwynn actually finishes that swing with a hit. ” -YoRicha   4
“ I loved watching Tony Gwynn play when I was a kid. He was truly a hit machine. It was heartbroken when he passed away! ” -tinyshogun   2
“ I'd rather have some kind of stats on the back rather than a narrative. ” -NJDevils
“ Great image of an all time great player. This is what it's all about! ” -jackal726
“ Best hitter is an accurate name. ” -parsley24   5
“ Ah early Upper Deck. Nice sets but the first 4 or 5 years tend to look alike. ” -captkirk42
“ My favorite MLB player of all time! Tony Gwynn was incredible back in the 80s and 90s. The card is alright. ” -NickyCollects
“ An all time great. Truly a fan favorite and the title best hitter doesn't even cover how great he was. ” -TwinKiller   3
“ Classic. One of my all time favorite sets. I miss the Diamond Skills cards. Oh, and Upper Deck. ” -pjdionne12   1
“ Ugh. I have this one. The front is okay and the back is, well, bad. I really didn't see the point of these Upper Deck subsets in the early 90's. I still don't. ” -BigBoyOnWheels   2
“ I love Tony Gwynn, but this card is kinda... meh! ” -BigDaddy   1

Set: 1991-92 TG Racing Masters of Racing Update (Rate)

Card: #147 Bob Derrington

“ Dang that back is blurry. ” -jdogg1228   4
“ Lots of empty space on this one. Not terrible considering it’s from a smaller production company. ” -pugchump   3
“ You know that they could have done better in 1991-1992. ” -BigBoyOnWheels   1
“ I always felt like using photos with empty stands was just mean. Especially when the set is called, "Masters of Racing." ” -TwinKiller   3
“ OK racing card. ” -captkirk42
“ This isn't Bob's card, this is an homage to empty grandstands and sky. After looking at his stats, it kinda makes sense. ” -jackal726   3
“ Well... uh... Car, driver, track, decent stats ... Somebody enjoyed this set, I'm sure. ” -SFC Temple
“ Bob and all his adoring fans! Terrible design- lots of sky and empty seats & a small pic of Bob stuffed in the corner. ” -BigDaddy   4
“ Ole Bob was a slick one back in the day. He had 80 NASCAR races in his career and never won. ” -tinyshogun   1
“ Below average card for a below average driver. This guy was suspended from NASCAR for using a larger gas tank than was allowed at the time ... and he still couldn't win a race! ” -BuccaneersDen   2
“ Great shot of the stands! ” -NJDevils   1
“ Ahhh...racing cards. Since they have on helmets and face coverings and are packed into cars when they're actually participating in their sport, most of the cards look like this. No action shots, just guys and gals standing in front of cars. ZZZZZ. ” -hamrlik22   1
“ Nice picture of the empty seats. About time they got some hobby love. ” -Blargh
