Trivia

  • Print advertisement showed Ken Griffey Jr. popping out of an over-sized card and the tagline, "Upper Deck Action...Excellent!"
  • Card #655 of Nolan Ryan was featured on the cover of the May 1992 issue of Sports Card Trader magazine.
  • Ted Williams signed 2,500 cards which were randomly inserted into Low Series foil packs.
  • This would be the final year of Upper Deck's "Lo/Hi" set scheme.
  • All cards issued in factory sets were stamped with a Gold hologram (as opposed to the silver hologram in the pack-inserted cards).

  • Cards were released to the general public in the following formats:
    * 15-Card Foil Packs (Both Low & High # packs)
    * 27-Card Jumbo Foil Packs (Both Low & High # packs)
    * Complete Team Set Blister Packs
  • On the back of the card, there is a colored stripe on the left side that shows the players name, team and position. Players on American League teams have a red stripe, players on National League Teams have a green stripe.
  • The High series 15 card packs contained 7 high numbers (701-800) and 8 low numbers (1-700) per pack. If an inset was included in the pack, it replaced a low number card.
  • On the front of the card, the team name in the lower right was written with the official team wordmark. Starting in the 1992 Season, both the Expos and the Phillies changed their official wordmark. In the high number series (#701-#800), the updated Expos and Phillies wordmarks are shown on the front of the card.
