1992 Leaf Baseball Forum

So while I am laid up with my ankle in a cast, I have been slowly going through all of my set collection, reconciling each one against what I show on TCDB, Wants and Haves.  Till today, no major surprises.  But as I started my Leaf sets  and got to the 1992 Leaf Black Gold of which I thought I was only missing the 1 card (#477 which is waiting for me in Ottawa), I realize that the cards in the binder lose their order in that after the empty spot for card #477, on the next page the card in the 9-hole does not add up to 9.  A quick flip to the last page and sure enough, the last card, #528 is in the 5-hole and not the 6-hole.  Turns out, card #499 Brumfield is also missing. I must clarify, I bought this binder with what I thought were 3 cards missing and never bothered to check the proper order of the cards for being int heir right pockets by page.

Though this reconciliation is turnign out to be  alot of work, I am happy I am doing it in order to reduce the number of duplicates I get because a card is still showing as a Want when I already received it.  Never thought I would find this kind of error though.  Any one have a spare 1992 Leaf Black Gold #499?

Well, I don't have that missing card that I know of. Then again I do have a bunch of cards in my garage I haven't gone through yet so you never know. But I have been doing the same reconciliation lately, hence my trading being turned off. Same thing. Cards I could have sworn I had cannot be found and sets that I had gone through carefully for numeric order are actually missing cards I missed before. Sigh...
