Have this card autographed by Clint Hurdle.

Rudy was running for president at the time of this card, and during the campaign he was known to have told reporters and supporters that he was a Red Sox fan despite being the Mayor of New York City for 7 years. Somehow, Topps found this to be a good gimmick card and so they printed this and a red variation. Given the political environment and housing market crash, one wouldn’t think Presidential Campaign cards would be in the works. But they did in releasing this one in the base set and a 16 card Insert set called Campaign 2008. It’s an interesting switch to baseball card collecting.

Anybody know why this card isn't listed in the "rookies" section of the set? An oversight or am I missing something?

This isn't Callix Crabbe. It's Carlos Guevara, another rookie in the Padres system in 2008.

Other player: Zach Duke of the Pirates.

Pretty sure the photo on this card is Rickie Weeks, you just can't see the '3' on his #23 uniform.

This card is considered a RC due to new rules on identifying cards of players that had not yet appeared in a Major League game.

A gimmick card. The no-hitter never happened. The card was released four months before the last game at Shea.
