This is the first set I tried to complete by buying packs. I chose Score because it was the cheapest. Every time I had $1.06 I would walk down to the gas station and buy a pack. If I had extra money I would get the big pack that had the Impact Players inserts.

My favorite baseball card set, very colorful and different, clean design and crisp pictures. I'm a fan of the Score sets but I feel that this one is far ahead from the before and after sets.

I like the appearance of the cards, a clean design with good pictures of the player. The set is a bit too big for those year, about 100 cards too many.

Maybe insanely bad luck, but I collected this set as a kid and got an insane number of duplicates. Going back through them, my dupe ratio is way too high for having made middling progress on the whole set.... annoying.
