Roundthediamond still bitter you couldn’t afford Upper Deck as a kid? Just buy them now, that’s what I do haha

I can't recall what my first pack was but this was definitely the first box I (or my mom in all actuality) bought when I was a kid. I loved UD as my collection is showing (getting back to it after 20+ years) and was saddened to see that my childhood hobby is considered the "junk wax" era of card collecting. Oh well, it still fun to dust them off and look through the ridiculous amounts of duplicate and triplicate cards I have!

Just perused my untouched complete box set. Happy to see all my cards in pristine shape (though majority slightly oc) like Nolan, Griffey, Frank flipping the bird, and Chipper's RC. However, very disappointed it didn't include any of the autograph inserts nor the SP Michael Jordan. But the oddest thing of all was when I opened the team logo hologram card pack. It did not contain 1 card for each team, not even close, mine rotated through 5 teams repeatedly (quantity of 7-8 per team). What the heck!?! Well anyway my hometown Twins were included as were my NL favorite Dodgers. Just seemed so weird they would package it as such. Final note - my set was the normal UD holo on the back of all cards.

...can't tell if this is 1989, 1990, 1991, etc. All of Ugly Duck's sets look the same. Kids couldn't afford this overpriced junk back in the late-'80s to early-'90s.
