Out of Office

May/2026

---------------------------------------

I did make many inventory mistakes in the early days of learning this site and I remain in "inventory accuracy cleanup" mode.  I've also watched the site add "4" when I've entered "2", so I'm concluding that the doubling has also occurred when I've entered "1", which contributes to many frustrations for all involved.

If you find my trading is currently "off" it is because I'm trying to slow down the in-coming offers.  I'm currently entertaining the 400 trades that are in my "OFFERS" and "COMPOSING" folders.  The latter is mostly trades where I'm counter-proposing -or- with trading partners that have withdrawn trades that were offered to me that I never got to review.

The volume of activity here is absolutely nuts!... in a completely good way, of course.  Not wishing my life away but looking forward to retirement when I can play all day, when I want!  :D

My collecting priorities, if trying to catch my attention...

(1) Jim Thome (all his teams)

(2) Cleveland Indians (parallels, inserts, hits, oddballs)

(3) Player and HOF collections

I bring 25+ years of online trading with 1500+ different trading partners, 4000 trades to all 50 states and 12 countries.  Proud member of Trading Bases, TheBench, and TCDb, of course!

I'm still adding cards to the database to improve my trade options and increase the size of trades to take advantage of postage costs.  It's a HUGE undertaking with inventory dating back to the 60s.

This is my hobby and "free time to play" is precious with a busy career, family life, and too much yard work.  Appreciate your patience!

If you need to withdraw as I'm not responding timely, no worries and please no hard feelings!  I'll save your offer and try to complete something down the road as we obviously had something to offer each other.

My favorite trades are the ones that include a fat envelope/box of hits and are at least $50 in BV to take advantage of postage.  The expectation is that these are sent in padded mailers with tracking both directions.  My biggest trade here was in the $400 range... awesome!

Quick, smaller PWE trades work well, too, and this is the majority of what I've completed on this site thus far.  I've sent 600+ trades via PWEs (most not from this site) and have had very few issues.

Michael
