Not looking to buy at all, just trade via PWE or if it's a big enough, a small padded envelope.
With regards to card condition, if I'm trading you a post-2000 card, what I'm sending you is looking great, nice and sharp. If it's an older card and I'm putting it up for trade, it's in good shape unless otherwise noted, in a condition that I'd be happy to receive. For a PSA rating, I'm thinking that translates to anywhere from 4-8. Where I have attempted to grade condition, please understand that I'm not an expert. For myself, I'm not uptight about the odd soft corner on older cards, but I'm not enthusiastic for cards that appear to have been stomped on.
W/r/t the occasional autographed card I put up for trade - always cards I mailed to the players and got back - my great preference is to trade it for another auto. Feel free to message with proposals. Random list of autos I'd love to get ahold of: most Seattle Pilots, especially Greg Goossen; most Red Sox, especially Koji Uehara, Mike Lowell, Spike Owen, Tim Wakefield, Jackie Bradley Jr, and Shane Victorino. That said, there aren't many autos I wouldn't be interested in trading for, so if you have one that you want to trade for one of mine, I'm probably going to be up for it.
Likewise, I generally like to trade inserts for inserts, vintage for vintage, etc. If you have 3 or 4 older commons that I'm looking for and you want to trade for an insert, I'd certainly consider that. My main focus is on the Red Sox, so if you have some cool BoSox parallel or alternate that I don't have on my wantlist, it's probably just because I haven't got around to it, and I'll be interested. Feel free to offer any of those up.
In any case, if I have something that you want and we don't have a trade match, hit me up and we'll try and make it work anyway. Always happy to try and help anyone complete a run or chase down a unique project.
One thought on etiquette if you're still reading: As of this writing, I've completed 120 trades, negotiated for a few others that didn't come together, and in the process I've only had two interactions that I found less than pleasant. This is a fun hobby for me, and I believe the vast majority of people on here feel the same way. I'm not looking to upset anyone, rip anyone off, or be a bummer in any way. If we can't make a swap, we can't make a swap. No biggie. Let's keep it chill.
Thank you!
