I voted Bonds as there was only suspicion around him. Rose did vote on baseball as a manager at least and I would vote for both but Bonds over Rose

Let's let them all in.  Seems like the hall of fame has turned into the hall of pretty good.  If Reggie Bush can get his Heisman back, pretty much anything goes.

Bush got his Heisman back because the rules on college players being compensated have changed and he was 'grandfathered' into it.

The rules on PED's and betting on your sport haven't changed.

I grew up watching Pete Rose and he was and is my idol and favorite baseball player of all time. He took a body that wasn't made for baseball never was the most talented guy but his heart willed him to turn into the player and record holder he is. He was captain of one the greatest baseball teams ever in the Big Red Machine. He is still a great ambassador to baseball and talks about the sport constantly. Barry Bonds was such a great player in both Pittsburgh and San Francisco that nothing could be taken away from him. It is just what Pete Rose means to me that he gets my vote.

I think baseball needs to give these two and others the opportunity to be voted in on their stats.

Pete Rose.  Baseball has lost the moral high ground on this.  They cannot endorse gambling the way they have and continue to look down on him.  I had no problem with Rose's banishment at the time.  This is not so much that I think he did nothing wrong, but MLB has brought themselves down to his level.

I would also have picked Jackson if he was an option.  I went with Bonds.  Rose did more harm to baseball than Bonds ever did.

If Shoeless Joe Jackson would have been a third option I would have pick him.  For the choices given I chose Bonds since the entire era was tainted by steroids and the commissioner who oversaw it all is in the HOF.  Someone please explain to me how that makes any sense.

Very important note that I didn't consider from Canadian Codhead.

I went with Rose, mostly due to a sense of fatigue. Is 35 years long enough punishment? Maybe. I don't really know.

Voting neither wasn't an option.

If Pete Rose was betting against the Reds he must have been really bad at it seeing as he got more hits than literally anyone else in baseball history.
