Also that is a set that has at least 4,000 too many cards.

More like 4,900 too many. Probably the most ridiculous set ever produced.

Aurelio Rodriguez was the subject. Mickey Mantle was not the subject. Mantle's clutch HR is the subject. Both card's photos do not match subject printed on face of card. If the same thing was printed in a newspaper it would be categorized as an incorrect caption.

But I don't understand why anyone cares about UERs and copyright variations. Is there one example of a UER or copyright variation being more sought after?

Let me try to put it into perspective. A lot of Tony Gwynns cards after having 3141 hits, mention his 3141 hits. A lot of the pictures on the front of the card are not only not of his 3141th hit, but are pitcures of him from the 1980s or 90s. That doesn't make them any sort of error. Mentioning something on a card doesn't mean that it must have a picture of it on the card.
