1987-Topps-Baseball-35th-Anniversary-Wood-(Series-One) SN1 Mistake?

So I am going through and putting my FS/T list on here and I noticed that the 35th anniversary wood series 1 has SN1 on here but, I don't see any SN on the card and also I see that 11 people have the same card as me. If it is a SN1 I don't wanna get rid of it. So are the people making a mistake or did someone make a mistake creating a checklist?

There is often confusion regarding parallels. Can you identify the specific card you are referring to?

If you go to 2022 topps inserts and click on 35th anniversary wood series one, and look at the check list they all say SN1 I think if you click on card 35 it says 11 people own it

I would assume you don't have the Wood parallel.

This Jackie Robinson is the Wood parallel. The SN is on the back, next to the "Second Baseman" at the top.

If yours definitely doesn't have a SN on the back, it's likely the base card. The Blue parallel isn't SN, but it's pretty obvious that it's blue. All of the other parallel sets are SN.

3 people have it in collections...perhaps they dont understand the difference between a collection and a want list.

1 guy claims to have 18 different cards from this set...that's highly sus...

The "wood" cards are actually that - they have a wood finish on the entire front - not just the wood style (printed) border. ------------------------------- -- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 3/4/2024). And I'm going to guess that those members with double digit cards from the "Wood" set actually don't understand the difference, and assume the "Wood" parallel is actually referring to the wood style printed border - meaning they probably have the base cards as well.

Or, as sheepboy alluded to, they may not understand the difference between wantlists and collections.

The chances that Topps released three copies of a SN1 card, and three people who are all members of this site each have one, is very low, even with their poor quality control.

Like I said, I was confused, I think they have the base cards. They are hard to figure out, especially when there isn’t a card to base off of
