I don't believe this is Bill North, though it's listed that way on our site (not on the card).
Of the player listed, the only one who wore #3 was Dave Nelson when he was with the Royals. And the uniform with the sleeve stripe is similar to the uniform used by KC at the time (though the insignia cannot be seen).
Can anyone else confirm this?

Billy North never wore #3 in the majors.

That's right, Joe, and of the ones named on the back of the card only Nelson did.

Dave Nelson and Mickey Rivers wore #3.

I forgot to mention during 1976 only Nelson did. Rivers wore it with the Angels in 1970-71 and Rivers' uniform doesn't match the picture.

As a longtime Royals fan, even before reading the replies, I thought that it looked like Dave Nelson. Pretty sure it is.

However on further review, the 1975 set uses the same photo. Dave Nelson didn't play for the Royals until 1976 -- and that was the first year he wore #3. If the 1975 set didn't actually come out until 1976 then it's at least slightly possible that it's him. Maybe that photo is just some random #3 sliding.

Willie Davis? Played for both Texas and Cards in 1975 but only wore 3 with the Rangers. But Texas' uniforms had an extra stripe on the sleeve.

After doing way too much research, I'm pretty convinced it's an airbrushed Joe Morgan. The number looks slightly off (he wore #8) and the placement of the number looks slightly lower than it would on a uniform with no nameplate on the back (the Reds uniforms had names on the back). The Reds single stripe sleeves are about the only ones that match this style of uniform. He is in both the 1975 and 1976 Greyhound sets as the National League Runner up.

Morgan was my original thought mainly because of body type - Morgan was short and stocky - the era, and the focus of the set. But I don't believe they would have airbrushed the pics since the cap logos and team names appear on other photos. The Reds had player names on the back from '67 through this '70s era.
