All of the very nice memories being shared by fans and people in the game have been great and paint a picture of a guy beloved by many. May he RIP and may his wife recover as his family goes through this awful time.

Nooooooooo......Wake has always been one of my favorite pitchers. I've enjoyed him commentating for the Sox. I'll treasure my Wake AU even more now that he's gone.

And to echo supergajit : I could enjoy his commentary for the Red Sox. Something I cannot say about any of the hopeless crew now broadcasting the Sox
