I noticed that some broadcasters including Vin Scully are listed on here as members of the Baseball Hall of Fame having won the Ford C. Frick Award. Is this HOF designation accurate? While they do get to deliver a speech during induction weekend, they are not technically members of the HOF. Also, not every Ford C. Frick award winner is designated as a member of the HOF on here such as Milo Hamilton (1992), Ernie Harwell (1981), and Bob Prince (1986) to name a few. I understand that Admin would possibly be the one to correct this, but would like to know if others think they all should be added, or none should be listed as HOF members. Maybe a separate designation is applicable.
Here is a current list: Baseball Almanac - most of the winners on the list have cards listed on here

No they are not HOF inductees. They are just recipients of an award given out by the HOF.
I apparently have the permission level to remove the HOF tag.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Still a pretty "Frickin" amazing honor. Are some of those recipients also in the hall as "builders"? I'm sure I can look that up myself but I had to post my hilarious joke anyway so thought I'd ask...

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.

Maybe, IDK,
I’ve been flamed by Beatle fans who don’t want to hear that Ringo Starr is just a recipient of a Rock Hall award, and not an inshrinee for his solo career the way the other three Beatles are.
Also both the Frick and TAFKA Spinx winners are considered Hall of Famers by everyone associated with MLB, and the actual HOFers themselves.

I think they count as HOFers. If the Hall recognizes them on Induction Day the same way they recognize the players, then it makes sense to reflect that here.

They "recognize" announcers by presenting them an award. They "recognize" players by inducting them. Not the same thing.

I have been to a couple of inductiones. Hofers sit on the stage throughout the ceremony and that is only players and managers. They recognize the other award winners but the former winners are not there on stage. If that means anything.

No. Henry Chadwick is still the only member of the media in the gallery, and he’s not a Spink recipient (now BBWAA Award).
There are quite a few HOFers who have gone behind the mic, and seems like we are getting closer to one of them (Dizzy Dean, Ralph Kiner, Waite Hoyt, Pee Wee Reese, I’m sure Jim Kaat has appeared on a Frick ballot a few times, etc), being a Frick winner.
But no, there are no broadcasters, for their broadcasting, in the gallery.
