Even though I've never liked Denny AND I picked Larson to win in my fantasy game, that was a fantastic race in Kansas! I don't think I've ever seen a more interesting race at Kansas for the entire race. My opinion really has nothing to do with Denny and Kyle on the final lap OR the Noah/Ross showdown after the race. Those were big stories at the end of the day, but the race was really exciting from the beginning to the end. So much happened in that race that it was hard to keep up.
Denny and Kyle had a great battle for 20+ laps and Hamlin finally had to put Larson in the wall to get around him. Desperation move by Denny, but how about Larson saving that car and still finishing 2nd?! That was a very impressive save and he still managed to get the car straight and take 2nd place. We've seen cars get that sideways and into the wall several times this season and not a single one drove away from planting the nose into the outside wall... until now! Larson just has such unbelievable control of any car he is racing and extreme skills in getting it going in the right direction again. Heck, he got spun out from the lead on the 5th lap of the same race and still kept from wrecking it or others and then battled back to be leading with 30 to go. Larson is SO freaking talented that it's unreal what he can do in a Cup car. Almost any other driver on the track would have destroyed that car on the outside and then been into the inside wall or grass to finish off the wreck. Denny flat out wrecked Kyle and if the same thing happened to Denny, he'd whine about it for a year!!! Larson never complains about how other drivers race him, but it's hard to raise hell when you are smaller than almost every other driver you are racing against. Larson just lets his pure skill behind the wheel speak for itself. If the roles are reversed in the playoffs and Larson needs a win to advance, I wouldn't put it past him to fence Denny in return. Denny Hamlin ALONE is the reason he's never won a title. Denny talks a lot of crap, whines constantly, blames every loss on someone else and doesn't hesitate to wreck someone for a win when he can pull it off. All of that comes back to bite him in the rear when the playoffs come around. The only driver in the Cup Series that wants to see Denny win a title is Denny himself!
Darlington should be a fun race to watch, but I can't wait for the ASR @ North Wilkesboro! I really wanted to go to that race since it's only about 75 minutes from home, but tix are running $250+ each!

I am glad he didn't take him out and was able to finish. But he would be first guy to whine if it happened to him.

Its the big race weekend. I'm more excited for the Indy 500 than I have been in many years. I'm also happy but surprised that all three of the major races (Indy, NASCAR, and F1) will be shown on network TV. Usually F1 is shown on ESPN live then a replay in the afternoon on ABC, but this year ABC is showing it live AND on replay. Also very happy with the coverage Peacock has given for the Indy 500 practices and qualifying, I think I watched 4 of the days.
I've gotten so excited about the races, that I might skip the 2 WWE PPV's on Peacock this weekend or watch a replay down the line.
I guess keeping somewhat on topic, I saw that Alex Bowman will be racing this weekend, its good to see he's ready to compete again.
Biggest race weekend of the year indeed....and I'll miss 2 of the 3 races. I'll miss Monaco and Indy as my son is playing in a soccer tourney a couple hours from home with less-than-ideal match times. I'll miss the start of Charlotte as well.

This is always one of my favorite weekends for motorsports, My whole family gets together and we make day out of it,
The 600 is one of my favorites all year, And the Indy 500 is probably only 1 of 2 Indy car races I watch. I am not as pumped for F1, I don't like racing where 2 laps in you already know who will win unless there is a problem.
Yeah, I agree with that sentiment when it come to Monaco. it's usually a very boring race all things considered, but it is F1's crown jewel event...

Considering there was a whole lot of flooding in the area it was kind of unfeasible to hold the race. I mean roads and houses in the area were underwater so what was F1 going to do? Canx for fan safety is fine by me.

For F1, always enjoyed SPA, if they run it these days, they have pretty much
neutered the track, F1 has gotten pretty wimpy concerning rain the last few years.....
