I'm not on Facebook at all and just don't have time for that site. Most of my info comes from nascar.com or my local FOX TV station. My FOX station is #1 in the U.S. for both NASCAR coverage and NASCAR race viewership, so they know what they are doing and cover it well.
Sunday's race in Darlington was wild and crazy! At least half of the playoff drivers had some sort of problem at some point. I found out tonight that NASCAR is now going to replace the polymer firewall between the engine compartment and driver's cockpit with a stainless steel plate to hopefully eliminate the fire issues like Harvick had Sunday and Buescher had a month ago. While I'm glad they are doing something about that, especially pertaining to driver safety, I have a couple of questions about it. How much weight is that steel plate going to add to the cars that could cause flat tires to make the car get stuck on the splitter again and also how will it affect the balance of the cars when it comes to suspension and such? It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

With the new car, haven't seen anything about weights and balance....
They used to add a block of lead to get up to weight, no idea how changing
the materials will affect things....

I just learned that the 2023 All-Star Race will be held at North Wilkesboro Speedway!!! The race will be the weekend of May 19th-21st. That's huge and a lot sooner than I expected. I really didn't expect them to race there until at least 2024. I might just have to go to that race!

Considering the time, effort and money they are throwing into N Wilksboro
they need to get there as soon as possible....
At least with Trucks and Xfinity....
All-Star Race will be a great way to get Cup there.....
Haven't heard anything considering Rockingham, considering they are throwing money at it
also, would expect something to be happening....

Really excited for the return to N. Wilkesboro and would also love to see a return to Rockingham as they were tracks that I personally enjoyed seeing highlights from for years and think would be interesting to see once again.

I didn't get to see the F1 race this week or the Xfinity (actually had somewhere to be). I forgot about the Indy race until 5 laps to go and it didn't look that exciting (not sure I'd want to see Will Power win another title anyways). Aside from some early action, the NASCAR race got a bit boring at the end to me. Though to be fair I was already into football mode since the Chiefs played a rare late afternoon game. I'm happy Bubba won it (especially since it meant Denny didn't). At least the playoff standings are getting a little more exciting.

Looking like the Chase drivers have been cursed, especially Harvick.....
Fell asleep waiting for the Green Flag, coverage that bad...
Only missed 5 or 6 laps....
Kept myself busy doing online stuff or I probably would have dozed off mid-race.....

Ya I agree the last stage was boring, BUt i like that Truex had the fastest car all day again, Just to be screwed every pitstop by his team not tighteneing his wheels. BUt had the best long run car, But not enough laps.
As for Bubba I am glad he won , He was fast and there in the hunt all race. Plus I always Liked Booty, I got to meet him a few times and he is a great guy and suvh an inspirational story. ON to Bristol and see what shakes out
