He was NOT protected. However, unlike others who no longer have posting priviledges on here (and there are a few, not just one), he expressed a sincere apology as soon as he was told about the personal issues the other member had (which he was unaware of). Admin also saw that post and acted accordingly.
So you're saying you saw the post Bob made that Admin decided to revoke his posting priviledges over?

An apology from an online bully - take it for what it's worth. But he is one of yours so I am sure all was made good. Meanwhile Bob isn't therefore, even though many have expressed they would be willing to see him in the Forums again, albeit on parole, I am sure the discussion behind the scenes is never to allow this.

One incident makes someone a bully now? C'mon, Bruno, I know you're a more sensible man than that. If you can even show me one other instance of that member bullying someone else, I'll give you that, but one incident, that was apologized for that same day, sorry, I don't call that bullying, I call that poor judgment. And I think we've all been guilty of that from time to time. And please understand that there were a couple of us who told him in no uncertain terms that he messed up royally in that thread. If by being a friend of mine he's one of mine, then yes. And I guess you're in that same category.
There really hasn't been any "behind the scenes" discussion about the forum ban. Bob and I have a rather open dialogue going through private message. I help him with various sets on the site as he helps us as he can. We even discussed trying to get together for dinner after the National this year, but my travels were taking me in a different direction afterwards which didn't allow for it. I wouldn't be opposed to such a meet up with him. Admin and I have discussed it (albeit briefly) and Admin has indicated that he's not going to change the decision for the permanent forum ban. So personal feelings aside, it's all up to Admin, and given the fact that he blocked Bob's PMs and has indicated that he won't change his mind, I don't think there's anything anyone can do to change the situation he's in now.

Bob might act differently if given a second chance but I can understand why Admin is happy with hassle-free forums.

It wasn't one. And tha person has done it before to others...and who cares if they apologized after the fact. As long as there is a good reason they should be allowed to speak that way? And how many times did Bob apologize.
I dont really care I just want someone to admit that there is a double standard. Just say yep, we see it, don't know what to do about it but it's there. I understand that in life some people have more of a trust bank than others. Did you notice all the PIFs that other person doled out after that indiscretion with Shawn? And to whom did those PIFs go? As long as you dump cards into the right volcano I guess the trust bank builds up? Don't be naive or fail to look in the mirror. It's there and it happens. See how many times people who are not in the right group say that they see it. And believe me there is not secret group of level 3's or what-have-you plotting to point out favoritism that isn't there.
And sorry to those who don't like this thread you don't have to be here reading it.
Dan, I asked you before where it is that Admin says he doesn't want anything more from or about Bob ? Can you clarify that please.

I did a quick check in some of that other person's forum posts. I only opened up 2 of them. In both of them you could see that same attitude including one where there was even name calling. 2 out of 2 should I keep going?
