I'm not impressed by either of those car designs. The DeWalt and Motorcraft designs almost never change even when you consider body changes. The only thing that ever changes their designs is the back quarter-panel or decklid sponsor. In both cases here, that doesn't change anything. Show me the HMS and SHR cars for Daytona and they may surprise me or at least get an opinion from me. I still can't wait for the start of the 2022 season though! It's also been confirmed that the Cup Series WILL have practice and qualifying for ALL races next year. There's a tweek though. There will be 2 practices each weekend with half the cars in the 1st practice and the other half in the 2nd practice. The Top-5 times in each practice will go on to a 10-car qualifying session to set the Top-10 spots for the start of the race. Not sure how the rest of the field gets set right now but I'm guessing the metric they used this past season. But I like the new setup. I just wanted to see practice return, but now it means way more than it ever did before! 2022 is going to be a FUN season IMO!!!

Time to skip qualifying and start them by rank, last to first.....
Put the good cars in the back and let them race through the field.....

Lol you waiting to see Hendrick cause these never change LMAO. They never change HMS paint schemes much. If they do its very Suttle. He'll even JGR changes more than them. I agree with SHR tho. I like the idea of the new practise qualifing. Watched all the practise from CMS and got more excited for things to come.

It's not the full time schemes I worry about....
Hendricks had so many different sponsors last year....
I spent most of the races just hunting the cars in the pack...
Not just scheme, but major color changes from race to race....
Never was a fan of special paint jobs, but changing from race to race is ridiculous....
Keep the schemes and spread the wealth around....
Starting to look like the late '90s again, when smaller teams couldn't get sponsorships....

I've missed the single car qualifying since the very first time they did timed sessions for qualifying. I do like the change they made for when they actually do single-car Q-runs where they added a "TV Timeout" for commercials so that you actually get to see all of the cars make their Q-laps.

Yes, the HMS cars do change - frequently. It's the sponsors that change and that change is a completely different color. I think Larson's car changed the least times last year with hendrickcars.com as the sponsor for about 90% of the season. Elliott's Napa car didn't usually change but I think the Hooters car was a different color every time he raced it. Byron went back and forth between Liberty University and Axalta. Bowman's Ally car seemed to be a different main color every other race. It was really confusing following those cars all season. I'm betting that Larson has a different sponsor for the D500 now that he's the champion. Harvick's car was practically a different color every week too even though he mostly had Busch Beer as the sponsor. I did like his Subway car though (even though I don't like Harvick).
I do not agree with reversing the field with the slowest cars starting up front. That leads to crazy amounts of wrecks in NASCAR. If that were to be done at Daytona or Talladega, there might not be a single car available to finish the race. Same thing at Martinsville and Bristol. It would be interesting at the road courses though!
