NBC spent a lot of time highlighting that Indy and NASCAR were running at the same track on
the same weekend....
What took so long, since NASCAR has been managing Indy for several years now....
Notice it came at a track which is owned by someone who runs Cars in both series.....

Infinity was a disaster yesterday....
Hopefully the Xfinity and Track Officials learned something.....
Can't complain too much about the Indy Car race...
Just a tad sleep inducing, much as most road courses.....

The track design really needs looking at...
Turn 1, coming just yards from the starting line on the straightaway makes it very
problematic....
Turn 5, the S, needs to be extended 10 or 15 yards....
It was problematic, even for the Indy Cars....
Around the whole circuit, the curbs need strengthening at the least....
Believe the runoff after turn 5 is half too wide, the reason for the speedbump to start with....
Been so long, don't recall how it was for F-1, if they had any issues....
Found the racing very good, until late when turn 5 became a total disaster....

I was happy to see a race on NBC.... until they decided to switch it to NBCSN with two laps to go to show amatuer golf????? I'll be so glad when the shut down NBCSN then at least I can watch more races. That is unles they start showing more of them on CNBC which they probably will do just to spite me.
I was cleaning an air conditioner so missed most the race anyways, but was enjoying it on in the background. I missed all the other racing today. Oh well, I guess there's next weekend.

Expect FS2 may rebroadcast the races tomorrow morning....
Hard to say, they haven't been too reliable on that front lately....

I wish I got FS2, or FS1 for that matter. I've pretty much given up on NASCAR on network TV regularly, so I've more or less stopped complaining for the most part, and luckily I do get USA Network so I should get to see more races next year. What really makes me mad though is cutting away with the race almost over. If it ran over by a lot I'd understand, say they still had 50 laps or so. I'd still be mad, but I'd understand. However they cut over to an event that there was no rush to get to, another 20 minutes wouldn't have hurt them. I heard the first 5-10 minutes or the golf event and nothing important was happening, so I don't get their reason to rush out of it. You can't tell me that many people was waiting for amatuer golf to come one when PGA (or pro) was on CBS. Not trying to offend golf fans, but I'd think since NBC owns the Golf channel they could have shown it there until the race ended.
Ugh, said I wouldn't complain much.... Oh well. I guess that's why I've gotten into F1 a bit more the last couple years. At least until ESPN finds a way to screw that up, which I'm sure will be sooner than later.

THAT is the real problem with NBC. The amatuer golf event WAS airing on the Golf Channel before NBC moved the race to NBCSN! They said it as soon as the race overran its allotted time. NBC is just garbage when it comes to any sporting event. They overbook their airtime and then move the end of something that millions are watching to another channel to air something that only thousands will watch. This year alone, every single major national broadcasting company is airing some type of golf on the weekends now. Why does NBC constantly move any type of car racing to another channel to cover golf or horse racing?! I could've understood it if they moved the Cup race to finish up the last day of the Wyndham Championship that wraps up the PGA season. But that was on CBS. I ONLY know that because the Wyndham was happening about a half-hour drive from my house and the local news has talked about it for weeks. I'll be happy when NBCSN shuts down and the NBC portion of the schedule moves to USA Network. USA has nothing that should interfere with a full NASCAR race airing in its entirety UNLESS the race is postponed to Monday and runs all the way into WWE RAW territory. That would be extremely rare though.
The Cup race was fun to watch until the curbing exploded and destroyed several of the top contenders with 6 laps to go. The Indy officials need to figure out a new plan for that pair of turns so that it never happens again. BTW, the curbing was turn #6, not #5. Turn 5 is why they put that speed bump inside of the curbing. It was to keep cars in the turns but also to slow them down if they missed it. But I think they should have removed the bump when they removed the curbing OR they should have installed brand new curbing. NASCAR and the course both said it was not possible to remove the bump. So they should have put down a new curb. Everything about that single turn was a disaster and NASCAR's "greatest season ever" is quickly becoming the most catastrophic ever. COTA became a disaster halfway through the race, New Hampshire was a disaster from the very beginning and Indy RC becomes a disaster at the very end. NASCAR better make better plans for 2022. Maybe these disasters arose because they were SUPPOSED to be running the new car model this year but NASCAR knew they were not going to use the new cars before they finalized the 2021 schedule.
