As best as I can describe- I miss the escapism of enjoying a game. You either go to a game or watch on TV to get away from whatever is happening in your life and just watch two teams play a game. No rules to speed up the game, no need to look at your phone every few minutes to see if you missed something important, no enhanced data to tell you how hard the ball was hit. On that last point, I get why some enjoy that enhancement, but when I sit back to watch a game, I can see the ball was hit hard. The enhanced data is something I can look up later after I enjoy the game. Same with launch angle. I don't need every second of the broadcast filled with analytics, just like I don't need it filled with commercials. Old games would have announcers not talk sometimes at all between pitches, and you could enjoy the sounds of the game.
As for rules speeding up the game, I understand that decades ago games didn't last as long, and as time went on, the games kept getting longer. However, to me that doesn't deter me from watching a game. I watch a game as I mention, for the escapism. When I do attend games, I never look at my phone. I know many that can't do that, and whatever. But its not that the games are too long now, its most people's attention spans are so short, they don't want to stay in one place for too long. Baseball isn't a sport for them, at least not one they should be attending in person much.
So I miss enjoying a game and not knowing when it will end, but will be entertained during the duration without knowing or caring what is going on around me (unless its something major which I'm sure either the TV or PA announcer would break in and announce).
