Bought this card from a dealer at a card show in MN last Sunday and I swear I found it on the site then but maybe it was the tea discs listed. I have the square and in doing a google search I found a link to this site with a 1990 tetley tea squares Kirby Puckett in the search. When clicking on the link it just brings up this main site. I found it on eBay listed as MSA Tetley tea squares 20 card set and light and dark blue variations. Listed with a number but there is not one on the card so should be nno. Cannot imagine I'm the only one one here that has one of the cards in the set and not sure why the link in google does not work. Thanks!!

Could it have been cutout from a store promo for the actual discs? Maybe packaging to the stores that carried the tea product? Or, maybe cutout from the Press Sheet calendar that was an offer on the informational part of the discs that came in three parts - two with players' cards?

It has recently been determined that the "square discs" are merely hand cut items from previously uncut sheets and falls into the same category as the "ebay oversized proofs", the 2-card proof panels, and anything else that would be hand cut from the full sheets (not the intended method of distribution), which is not listable here on TCDB. Those items that were once here have been removed by Admin due to that fact.
Just a reminder, things get listed here all the time by either well-meaning members or members who forget what the rules are for adding sets. Just because it was listed doesn't mean it's supposed to be listed or will remain listed. As we discover items that shouldn't be here, we are notifying Admin and allowing the decision to be made.

Darn, ok and I guess I will keep it with my Puckett cards. The odd thing is that each square that I've seen is cut so perfectly, one cannot tell it was handcut but I do see the ebay listing that shows all the players on a 2 year press sheet calendar. Anyway, thanks for the info!

I'd like to make a couple points:
1 - "Hand cut" simply means that it was an item that was not cut and distributed, but cut from a previously uncut item. You could set up a die to puch out Hostess panels, and they's still be called "hand cut" because they were distributed on the bottoms of boxes in panels, and not as individual cards. In the cases of these squares or "square proofs", they weren't actually distributed in panels, they were distributed as discs. We have the distribution method catalogued. We do not catalogue non-authorized distribution methods.
2 - Speaking of these non-listable things on TCDB, and I've seen this come up quite a bit, and in this case Jolson says "I guess I will keep it with my Puckett cards" - why wouldn't you? Are you really going to remove stuff from your physical collection because it can't be listed here? I don't understand this method of thinking. Do you have any hats? T-shirts? Glasses, mugs, or posters? There are literally billions of items (both sports and non-sports) out there that aren't listable on this trading card database. Just like most collectors, I too have several of these non-listable items. If I like the item, I'm keeping it. (And yes, I lost an item from my TCDB collection - and scans - when these sets were purged. Not keeping it was never an option.)

1. Ok, that makes sense and am not arguing it should be listed.
2. Sorry, I should of wrote that I will keep it with my Puckett cards. In the end, am I a little disappointed it cannot be listed, sure. Do I care all that much, no. Am I going to remove from my physical collection, no. I appreciate all of your help and anything you've helped me with in the past but please don't assume to know what I'm thinking and no need to lecture. Thanks

I don't think he was lecturing you in particular, or really anyone. I think it was just more of a general observation of the mentality that seems to be portrayed by members here sometimes. There are times I read a post about something that is/isn't/will be/won't be listed and I think the same thing - "wow, it sounds like since it won't be listed here this member is going to get rid of it"
I certainly didn't get that impression from your post, and I don't think Dan did either. It appeared to me to just be a general comment.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

I was hoping you were going to get rid of it to add to my Puckett collection.
