I understand the OPs frustration and completely agree with the postings that state, as the "internet age" has progressed many people have become very good at skipping past relevant information in an effort to, in a manner that can understandably be perceived as selfish, quickly achieve their goals.
As we have developed more and more communication tools, ironically we have become worse communicators.
However, what also frustrates, or maybe just amuses me, is when "wronged" parties think it is more productive to produce diatribes rather than actual productive steps to help their situation.
Will a trader who doesn't read profiles be scouring the forums looking for posts and reading them to ascertain member's trading preferences?
A simple reply of; "Sorry, I am not trading, only selling at this time. I would be happy to entertain an offer on the cards you are interested in (or I would be happy to sell the cards you are interested in for $X)." would be much more likely to further the conversation/transaction.
Should you have to do it? No, of course not. Do you actually want to sell some cards? Because, flat declining or getting angry at traders who haven't read your profile is unlikely to achieve that goal.
As stated, I get the frustration, but not how it is overly productive!
