A couple of things that would make me love this site even more then i already do.
1. Have the med price of the cards in the trade at the bottom so both parties can see if it's a fair trade instead of clicking on every card to add the price
2. Another idea would be alittle complicated but, basically let us import data to our collection from a excel spreadsheet. I already know you can't export but it would be cool to import, and the computer only grabs what matches

USA TRANSACTIONS ONLY, won’t accept anything outside of the states
I collect Chiefs/Yankees/Arod Road to 500/ Topps factory sets. I collect any and all cards. **Still working on my collections** 3/21/23 Trying to trade with all 50 states these are the states that are left. Only rule is money can’t be involved unless it is to cover the cost of shipping. *=waiting for cards to come to me AK, DE, HI, ID, KY, ME, MT, NV, NM, NC, OK, OR, RI, SC, VT, WY

I've been asdking for #2 since I started on here. Looks like that is just too complicated to make it happen. I've even given some pretty simple-type solutions, but they haven't been implemented. It's one of the reasons I don't have approx 70K cards listed on here.

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 3/4/2024). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned on (details are in my profile).

For #1, I imagine that's a no go for some people as not everyone likes what the TCDB median price is telling you as it currently is. I personally wouldn't use it to guide trades because I'm certain I've sent off supposedly more expensive cards in exchange for cheaper ones because I just wanted those cheaper ones. I would be bummed out if someone chose not to try and trade with me because the aribitrary price tells them it's a lopsided deal (and even if it is, I try to negotiate with a counteroffer). Also, when a debatable price shows up in a trade offer and possibly starts a nickel-and-dime conversation, it might turn off a few people from bothering with the trade at all. Apart from waving off the occasional clueless/scammy trader, I'm not sure if the TCDB median price inclusion would be that much of a benefit.

Well I mean people can do it right now if they want, I haven't been here long enough but, I don't hear/read about a nickel and dime conversations. I'm not saying that if you want a penny card and going to give up a gem for it, the computer wouldn't let you. I would like it just for a guide. I have read a lot of people that don't like the med price but, it's a good guide to go off.
BTW im still salty about 04

I think you're absolutely right. The resistance makes little sense and it's darn inconvenient.

Another idea of mine is the team reports, let shows us what user is selling that team cards, I wish you can filter it by how many cards instead of ABC order

I put in #1 as a site enhancement suggestion about a year and a half ago. The idea is that gives you the price and adds up the total for you during a trade. I thought it odd that a lot of people said they were against it. Some suggested that it will scare people away from trading. That does not make any sense to me because the information is already available. Making it easier to get should not scare anyone off. If people choose to ignore it they can.

The reaction stems from the fact that the pricing here is straight wrong. There would be a complete failure of fair evaluation if pricing here is utilized. Inconsistent and inflated in too many places

I second this.
Fix the pricing first, then I think we'll see more people (myself included) willing to support including pricing in the trade manager.

This site is not a price guide.. there are other (paid) sites that have pricing. There are many other tools other than pricing to make this a great place to hobby with some generous people.
Oh, and I still will not trade your commons for my HOF cards even if there was a little column with a dollar amount.
