I have a large trade going on with another member. He is the one who proposed it. As I am going over my lists, I realize that the first 10 cards that are offered, all from the 1973 Topps set, are not on any of my Want Lists. I looked through my different collections and can't even find them "In Transaction". When I go to "All Collections" / "In Transaction" there is nothing from the 1973 set listed yet there are 10 cards in the actual transaction.
Anyone ever have this happen? Ever wonder why you got cards that were not on your want list?

You can add anything to a trade proposal, not just cards on a Want List. This is why it's important to know who you are trading with and to double check anything you are offered. It's happened to me many times. Craig

I know that but the weird thing is that even though they are in the Transaction, they do not show up in any of my collections as "In Transaction".

Agree. If you use the Browse function instead of Match then anyone may offer or request what's on a trade list. I did notice if it's done this way the system skips the In-Transit and In-Transaction steps. Can't recall if they are placed in your Collection though.

If this is the case where cards selected by "Browse" don't show up in transaction or in transit once a Trade is accepted, it may be why there are glitches in the TM.

Could be, but I wonder if those Browse selections were excluded from the In-Transit/In-Transaction function and simply work the way it used to.
If that's the case, I think if we force the add into the Collection prior to the completion of the transaction we may see duplicate entries.

I have a transaction active right now where I knowingly chose cards from another member that I knew were not on my wantlist, using the "Browse" method. They do not show up as being in transit and didn't show up as being in transaction either. I expect to receive the cards any day now. I'm curious to see if they show up in my collection once I mark the cards as received. I can let you know what happens.

No, this is a trade where I offered to help someone finish a set by taking some of their traders (soon to be my traders) in return. Even though the cards weren't on my wantlist, i realized I could still select cards from their trade list by using the Browse option. I wondered how the database would handle that, so I checked to see if the cards I selected would be listed as in transit. They aren't, and I wonder if they will appear it my collection once it is completed.

I have just received the cards and have updated the transaction accordingly. Despite the cards not being listed as in transaction or in transit, they have appeared in my collection once I marked as completed.
