My friend from France is trying to correct or enter a team to a (I assume) a football (soccer) team but says it is not on the list and he is unable to enter it manually. I suspect that team simply does not have a TID. How does one go about entering a team if this is the case?

The very first option under Select Team is "Add Multiple or Other". Then type your team in the "Or Other" box. But first check and double-check the Teams listing. Many soccer teams have multiple ways they name themselves.

I tried to do the same for the 2012 Upper Deck National Convention Redemption Set, many are College Teams and are not listed in the drop-down list and cannot be entered (at least by me). Michael Jordan has a team, but I think it was entered manually by someone else. Why are college Teams not in the box?

Only L8s can create new team entries. As for why certain teams aren't available on the big dropdown, that's an Admin question.

For Major League sets, colleges are not listed. In baseball, minor league teams are not listed.
When you have selected "Minor League" as the set type, the minor league teams are the teams available. (The system only populates the drop down based on the set type.)
All teams are linkable. Use the "Multiple/Other" seletion and type it in EXACTLY as it appears in the database. It links.

But what if it is not listed? That is the problem here. How does someone get it listed so it can be linked to the card in question?

If it's not yet in the system, that's a L8 function. An IR usually gets it resolved pretty quickly, unless we have to wait for Admin to create the appropriate "league" for the team.

Thanks Jason for an answer that actually answered my question. I have passed it on to my friend and hopefully my French is clear enough that you should see an IR show up in the next 24 hours.

It will show up on the Things To Do under Team Validation System. Then an L8 will double-check the Teams lists and if a new team needs to be created, will do so.
