Sad to report on the death of a Database member and friend. Doe MG was her username. Dawn was her actual name, and I knew she was battling ALS. I had gotten worried that she hasn't interacted on facebook for a while and I discovered that she passed away in September. I knew she was only on there periodically in the first place so I didn't check sooner.
Last time she spoke about it she mentioned that she didn't think she had much time left and I hate that that turned out to be true. It hit her really hard and really fast, within about a year she was gone.
Besides cards she was also a stamp collector and postcard collector. She was a Cubs fan and collector.
I will miss her, she had a great sense of humor and a kind personality. My condolences to her wife and loved ones.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I knew it was inevitable but that still terribly sad to hear. Thanks for informing us Billy. I never interacted much with Dawn either, but when I first started blogging, I found her "Now and Zen" blog and I remember when she broke the news there. She seemed like a sweet soul who absolutely doted on her wife (affectionately referred to as "Zip" on the blog) and enjoyed her Cubs. I'm thankful that she's at peace and hope that her loved ones have found comfort.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

Since I started working on the database recently, I have never interacted with her. I'm very sorry for everyone who had a strong connection with her. May she rest in peace.

She was "Now and Zen"? I followed that blog but didn't know that was her. I didn't know "who" Now and Zen was but followed the blog and was concerned. A few months back I checked to see if there was any updates as it had been almost 2 years since the announcement of the ALS diagnosis.
