Hey all, I don't know about you?, but I'm always looking for addresses for my past trading partners. I've tried saving a copy to Office but not very efficient in my world. SO, how about a way of copying addresses to a dedicated Address Book right here on TCDB? Can that be done? Is it a good idea? Comments welcome. ~BOB~

In theory, for what you are driving at, yes. However, I am concerned that it would be easily available and thus nefarious types will have access to it. I'm pretty sure that is why Admin keeps the addresses behind closed doors until a trade as been accepted. Like many others I keep am offline document that has the addresses for everyone I trade with so I can send surprise packages when I can.

+1 I would agree. It’s not about the majority of people on TCDB or anyone from the site for that matter, but rather the untrustworthy few that join looking for mischief. I’ve also started keeping an excel spreadsheet of who and when I’ve traded with as well as their addresses.

I've long wished that completed transactions showed the address details that were available before completion of the trade.

Having the address available on completed trades would have been helpful a couple times for me.. Finding cards I meant to send afterwards is a pain.. lol
That said, I keep a book that I write addresses in of the people I trade with.

My opinion:
Let's stick to this being a trading card database and not a collectors address database or a schedule database, etc. We have enough stuff to do to fix up what we have here in the trading card area that we don't need to expand into other areas.

i think adress book may lead to unwanted solicitation. Currently, when you do a transaction with someone, their address is listed there or its shared through the transaction. Like others, if it turns out to be a good trade and the two become frequent of each other, its easy to keep that address in your own filing system (phone, excel, etc etc ). We've already had spam and other sites pop up in forums and Admin has done a terriffic job of removing them right away- but if one happen to sneak through and get into that sytem, it can be annoying for others.

It might be nice as a "friends" option. It could be an optional field in your profile (like location) that is only viewable by members on your friends list.
