Does anyone know/or how to find checklist for the Topps Buybacks. I have some 2015 Topps / Update and 2016 Topps that I can not find info on. Also I got a 1987 Topps Chris Codiroli out of a 2017 pack that is stamped rediscover topps, anything??????

The checklists "exist" on the site. Here is a link to one of the 2016 Topps buyback checklists.

You can add your cards individually to the sets using the card number DATE-Card Number. So if you have a 1984 card #356 the card number is 1984-356.

Checklisting the buybacks is tough. There is no record anywhere that says what Topps (or whatever other company is doing a buyback) is issuing in any particular product. (Exception: Heritage - they only isue buybacks of a specific year - but no mention as to how many of each card, or if all cards in the set are issued!) Basically, in the flagship, any card from 1957 onward can be in there (older ones are bigger and wouldn't fit, and I haven't heard of them doing anything with 1951s). So, each year, each product, can have about 10,000-20,000 different buybacks. All depends on what they got in stock and stamped for that release.

I wish they wouldn't stamp the buybacks.

Same here. In my opinion it ruins an original card. It is sad that the reprints they produce that have special backs like the "Cards Your Mom Tossed Out" are worth more than these stamped buybacks.

They destroy the value of an original card.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I agree, I'm not a fan either. Personally, I think buybacks should be listed as parallels of the original set and not as inserts to the year they came out. The 1989 Topps card I pulled today is still from the 1989 Topps set, regardless of how it's been altered.

I see your guys point for sure but at the same time we also need to know what set to purchase to be able to try and pull one ourselves. So regardless somebody will disagree, for me personally as long as its listed all is good. Admin has alot of difficult decisions to make and this is one of them.

I scratched the foil off of the only Buyback I ever owned. It was some 1957 Topps card. I didn't know what these things were at the time, but I'd do the same thing again today. I'd rather have a lower-grade original card than some freak show looking vintage-modern card. It's just not right. Archives, Heritage, and other reprint types are just fine with me, but not Buybacks. It's like selling your cards into slavery. Free your vintage cards: scratch off those foil chains, and keep those abominations out of my sight.
