Hey, Canadian friends, how much would it cost you to mail an oversized card that would fit in a standard 6x9 office envelope without tracking? Weight would be under 2 ounces.

Hi, You are looking at about $3.20 Cdn to ship from Canada to the US.
It falls in the oversize range and the weight of 50-99g

I had overlooked the oversize note on Canadian postage. I assumed that our 6x9 (mm: 152.4 x 228.6) envelope, which qualifies as a letter was standard for Canadian postage. That's how I send PWE with 40-44 cards as a letter if it's under 3.5 ounces (just under 100 g).

If whoever you are working with doesn't want to send it to you, have them send it to me and I will send you a bunch of stuff for 3.20.

Thanks, Ron. It's with an Ebay seller. I probably came across as a know-it-all who was wrong - I had quoted the wrong price due to my inadvertent omission of rates for oversized envelopes - and I may have caused him to not think too kindly of me, even though I was a civil know-it-all.
I'll see what I can do and let you know.

It may have been mentioned in the forums before, but here is a good time to mention it again - Canada Post is raising it's prices on May 6, 2024.

This article only talks about the "P" rate increase, but this will surely impact prices for larger items and international shipping. Time to stock up.

The seller responded and he's not budging from his C $8.00 shipping and suggested I simply buy more cards to justify the shipping price, but he doesn't have anything else I want. Thanks anyway, Ron.

Send me the link? I only buy from canadian sellers on ebay now due to postage. Sure limits the selection...now instead of a billion things i want there are only 100 million.

i’m in Canada, & the other day the post office lady said America changed the rules recently & are getting more strict,
i was sending out a regular bubble mailer,
& she said we could try sending as regular mail,
& it may or may not go through,
but a lot have recently been returning to the post office,
so i sent as a small packet & it was $9

A bubbler wasn’t needed. Save $$ and mail in a gift card envelope or plain white envelope. Thanks for trading
