Has anyone else had problems with buyers saying they didn't get their cards or the cards were damaged? I've recently experienced this problem. I take care in how I package even one card to ensure minimal damage if any. The resulting damage, I believe, is the way the USPS handles letters and or packages. I had a buyer that stated that all 18 cards inserted into 9 pocket pages were damaged. I not only took care in inserting them but made sure that the pockets were tri-folded and protected by the packing slip and outer layers of cardboard. I ended up refunding the funds and told them to keep the cards. So here I was out the cards and money. So goes selling on the web. But not all folks are dishonest. Just saying.

I'd agree that the issue lies with someone at the USPS putting a non-machinable item through a machine. I see this sometimes where one end of an envelope is smashed. Thankfully, the packing ability of the senders has saved the cards.
And I just read your profile....might be interested in buying some cards from you.

That is life with Buying/Selling/Trading on the internet. And Sending/Receiving cards no matter that service you use.
I have received PWEs, non-Machinable PWEs and packages ripped open or looking like they got run over by a truck. So far I have been lucky and have gotten no damaged cards. but one was missing the money out of the package but still had the cards. Plus a few of not getting cards or people not getting theirs on trades but not purchases.

I hope I didn't offend anyone here. I was just wondering if others here have had problems with buyers stating cards were damaged in shipment or at my end. Not just here but on ebay as well. Thanks deadhead11 for the encouragement.

I don't see how anyone can be offended by a question regarding something that happened.
I also see you have quite a few items on my want list. I still need to update my want lists, and I'll be in touch after I do that.

I can see how some could take offense from your last 3 sentences in your original post. It seems to indicate you didn't believe your customer.
Our postal service isn't overly reliable. When you are trying to see off a collection where you will be shipping out cards you will have to expect you will have an issue from time to time where you will end up refunding a customer.
I would only advise that you should expect a certain level of issues and be careful on your wording if you vent here because it could chase some potential future customers away if they read your post and view it as you basically calling your customer dishonest on the message boards here.

This arrived last week.
All was fine, though the envelope's condition belies that. Notice that the postage was also removed in the process.

I will add to Joshua's post that in the last month, I have received more damaged PWE than probably in the previous 5 years. Some of the possible causes: using top loaders inside a PWE (not good when going through the rollers which they almost all do at some point in their journey), PWE packed too tightly, on the flip side, PWE corners / flap not sealed properly. Surprisingly and fortunately all the cards were still fine.

I have received empty envelopes, torn envelopes and even envelopes with obvious boot prints on them...sadly part of trading and selling through the mail
