Happy 2024 to ALL!  Just recovering from a nasty Flu and back on my feet again.  Really nice to be back.

For 2024, want to cut card hobby budget way down to under $40.00/month ($7.00 already allocated each month for the great work for this TCDB Community).  Keep trading as often as possible. 

Still have over 10,000 cards to inventory here that is sitting up in The Hobby Room of Our Space Coast Island Abode.  Continue to FOCUS on Vintage Cards that will amount to VERY FEW Purchases this Year. 

Want to try and continue to support Our Local Card Shop in Rockledge (CASEBUSTERS Sports Cards).  This is basically a BIG STEADY STEADY for me as I enjoy this Hobby and being part of This TCDB Community a whole bunch, now for over ten years . . .

I have one goal this year and it is simply bring back my cards that are stored in the US — some have been sitting there for nearly two years now so they need to find their way "home".

My goals include:

10,000 Total Site Points

Complete 200 Trades ( I had 162 in 2023 and started trading in may) 

Enter every card in the database that I have (I have a 800 count box that I want nothing to do with but it has some tradeable inserts)

Finish my 2022 Topps Chrome Keibert Ruiz Rainbow (All I need is the Orange, Red Wave, Red and Superfractor (which ill never get)). 

Expand on football a little more.

Complete my PC Project of 2023 Topps Update in Rainbow Foil.

Goals this year will be related to collecting focus.

1. I've already changed my focus to only build Topps Heritage sets...moving away from Flagship and Chrome.

2. Liquidate as much of the remaining 7500 cards on my FST list through trades for Topps Heritage cards, even by taking in Heritage cards I don't need. I've made great progress in the last couple of months as that number is down from just under 11,000 cards. 

3. Evaluate my current collection.  I'm not sure I want to keep all these complete sets for multiple reasons...I am finding that I don't want as much stuff in life, and I also fear bricking may set on some sets left alone for too long.

4. Expanding Topps Heritage collecting to include Heritage Chrome Purple, Blue Sparkle and Clubhouse Collection Relics.  (Was only working on Heritage base sets with SPs and subset cards...but want to expand as it's getting harder to acquire cards for base sets since most are SPs. 

5. Travel to more of the larger card shows. I am going to try this in Dallas in a couple of weeks and while there I hope to find some items I can purchase and flip to help offset some of the expense of traveling to the shows. I have no intentions of setting up as a dealer at shows or doing this for profit, but reducing the overall cost would be good.

My goals this year for 2024

 Not in a particular order since they are  ALL Important !!

 #1.  Finally complete The 1971 Topps Baseball set 1-752

 #2. Get up to 200 Subscribers on my Youtube page currently only at 25 but as with trades I am always pressed for time due to my job which will not be a factor soon. :)   Is a combination of  Trading card stuff ,  Family friendly jokes , and stuff I see on the job or random funny video or 2 that I make.

 #5. To help grow this site by way of my youtube channel as well.  REMMEMBER more collectors means more trade possibilities as well as a just more overall active forum & site !!

I just have one main goal that I briefly mentioned in another thread. That is to get more involved in trading. I was just starting to get my feet wet at the end of 2023, and really enjoyed it. This a a wonderful community that I am excited to trade with!

I added one more goal for myself for the year and so selfishly I am "telling the world" about it here in case it makes one of you fine traders say ...."Hey, I think I have one of those tucked away somewhere and why should I horde it when someone else really wants it" ;)

I want to add 10 more of the 50th Anniversary Montreal Expos cards from 2019 Archives,  to my collection. I am collecting the base set, the base autograph set and five of the seven parallels...maybe there are more parallels I forget now...anyway... I have 30/175 that I want now and would love to reach 40 by the end of the year.

1. Convince he wife to give me half the basement for a card room

2. Start said card room

3. finish said card room

4. more trades!

5. Set up at a show, sell some cards, so the first 3 would be easier!

Knowing a buddy at a place I could rent locally I could run a card show which would be amazing! Only problem is on the eastern shore of MD only things that people really do is farming and hunting. Especially in a “questionable” town don’t think there are many card collectors. The Walmart never has cards because they never stock it.
