Yes, you can leave feedback before changing a transaction's status to "Completed".

You can actually leave feedback for any member at any time. Even if you haven't had a transaction with them. I'd love to see the leave feedback option be tied to each transaction, but I suspect that would be a major coding overhaul for admin.

I'm also on team Complete When Both Sides Have Received, but will make exceptions for recurring trade partners. For me, it isn't complete until I know that the other side has received what I sent them and is satisfied. I'm trying to get into the habit of leaving feedback as soon as I have received the cards that were sent to me.

I'm one of those guys that will not mark my end complete until my trade partner has received his/her cards and has marked the trade complete. Having had a couple of trades being lost in transit lately, it helps keep a trade open until both parties are satisfied with the trade. As for posting feedback? That happens WHEN I receive my cards instead of waiting until the trade is complete on both ends. I'm old and forgetful at times..... (oh oh, my train of thought went away)...LOL

I do not sell/buy cards, my sell/trade lists are for trade only. Thanks for your understanding.

I am fairly new to the trading game, but I made sure to read the FAQ section and read my fair share of forum threads before starting. In my brief trading experience on here (13 transactions so far in the past couple months) I have tended to wait until both parties receive their packages before marking complete. That appeared to me as what the majority preferred and so I was happy to do it that way. Personally I agree with several who have commented that it is nice to have the feedback reminder pop-up when it is still fresh in my mine (vote for completing at receipt of package), however I also feel like waiting until both parties have received and "complete" the transaction at the same time to be a sign of respect to my trading partner, letting them know that I don't view the transaction as complete until both sides are recieved. While I know this is a technicality as the transaction can be updated regardless after the fact, I just see it as a good gesture of good faith to wait and mark as complete once both parties have received. I personally will not be aggravated at anyone choosing to do it differently, but that is just my humble opinion.

BDillman, you can leave feedback as soon as you receive your cards and verify they're ok. The site notification says "Feedback Reminder", in case someone forgets. I began trading online in a private group in 1995 and have always left feedback or a "Thank you" as soon as cards arrived and checked. I do it as a sign of respect and appreciation to my trade partner. If someone takes the time to pull their cards, package them up, and pay to ship their cards to me, the least I can do is leave Feedback or a Thank You. I just don't understand why folks don't leave feedback when they receive their cards, and acknowledge that every thing was fine. So far I've completed 1654 trades, have 1688 Positive Feedbacks, but I have had 4 members who didn't leave feedback. Of course, those 4 instantly went on my "Never Trade" list!

I always wait until both parties receive the cards. Just in case there is an issue. Maybe it is psychosomatic, but i want to be sure everything is in order until I Complete it. But then again, many a fine member have had to message me a few days later to remind me that I need to Complete it.

Here's a good reason to wait. You receive your cards and everything is correct, The other person receives there cards 1-3 days later and finds one of the cards you sent is wrong, Your responsibilities are not "complete".
Doesn't happen often but I've done it at least once.

It's just a stupid check mark on the computer and didn't do a thing for the transaction other than letting me know I received my cards. NOT YOUR PROBLEM.. No more comment. It's complete. Lol lol.

Im in a different situation than most members here
when my packages make it to my house i am gone for 2 weeks and when i get home before bed time i will mark all packages received once I confirm i got them. Put them in order so i can start going through each package 1 at a time, organize them within my collection make sure i got all the cards i was supposed to get then leave feedback and right after that i mark as complete. Sometimes the same night others a day or 2 depending on how many trades i got going or how many cards were in the said trades. Then i start working on new trade offers in order of received by the trade number. So this issue really doesn’t affect me. When my trade partner marks his/her end completed i know he or she is satisfied with the end they got if not they will let me know and i will fix any issue that may have come about
