Looking for recommendations for card shops in the Kansas City area - preferably the Independence area.
Thank you!

Did you check the Card Shops list? I see two listed. TonyZ lives there and last checked in to KC's Finest Sports Cards.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Thanks David657. I prefer card shops that have a nice supply of vintage baseball (pre-1970). However, my baseball addiction can be fed many ways.

Yes, I checked the Card Shops list. Was looking for recommendations on shops that are worth visiting. I prefer vintage baseball (pre-1970), but a good shop, regardless of inventory, is always a nice visit. I will reach out to TonyZ
Thanks!

I got you on this one! Here's a list of shops that I saw posted in a KC group on facebook.

Watch the Facebook Groups for Card shows in the KC area...they seem to be happening often. and range from smaller to larger shows.

I have a buddy that lives in the KC area. He collects “vintage” baseball cards. His 2 main shops are Baseball Card Store in Overland Park (Line 2) and a store in Belton. I assume the shop in Belton is the one listed on line 10, but I’ve never been there or asked him its name. (I’d be surprised if there is more than one.) His third method for finding cards is to drive to St. Louis and go to card shows with me. 😀
I’ve been to the first store many times and highly recommend it. You can find some good deals there, although I will say that the Owner is not the friendliest person I’ve ever met.
I’m 90% sure that I’ve been to the 2 shops listed on Line 16 & Line 19, but that was a couple of years ago and I’m not positive. If I remember correctly the Show Me Sports (Line 16) was almost all current with a lot of (current) football. The store listed on Line 19 didn’t have much vintage either. Again I’m not 100% sure. Those names seem familiar but…
Just my two cents.
I hope you have a great visit and find some cards.
Please give us an update on what you find.
