Been listing basecard on sportlots, familar with ship to customer but this is my 1st ship to box order. Looking for the do's and do nots for box orders as well as most cost effective way to ship to box. I believe it needs to have a tracking # so no PWE. Likely lose money on this order but have to start somewhere.

I have used the Sportslots Box process many times.
I use it when I purchase a large quantity of cards from sellers I have bought from before and that offer huge discounts in shipping to go the box route.
You have to be patient with large orders. Some Sportslots sellers accumulate a weeks worth of sales before sending them into the box system.
If you are only buying a handful of cards the box system is not a value. It is great for large quantites and if you are patient for getting your cards.

As a seller I've had a few sales that were box orders rather than direct to the customer. Don't know why since I offer the same pricing for both options but for whatever reason the customers chose the box option. The site says you should wait no more than a week to ship box orders, so if you get any other box orders in that time, then you can combine the shipments and save money. However unless you are a high volume seller, this is an unlikely occurence. I've only had it happen once.
Also, there is nothing saying the box order has to have tracking. I've sent all my box orders PWE and had no issues.

That is good information. Not sure I'll get another order within a week, I'll give it over the weekend and ship it PWE on Monday. Its two 20 cent base cards, just glad I have an order and hopefully start building feedback on Sportlots.

You should also make sure to have a pretty decent sized inventory on Sportlots so you generate enough sales every month to overcome their fees. If you aren't selling at least $25 worth every month, you're losing too much in fees.

What's your name on there? Maybe a few of us can add to your order?

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.

BRDCards, I only have 221 cards on there right now. Slowly adding adding inventory to their system. Some 2022 Chrome base cards is the newest stuff on there.

It might help if you have the connection to your Sporlots account in your TCDB profile.

I am not a seller on Sportlots, but from what I have read, if you are looking to reduce fees, then you can put your store on vacation while you enter all your cards for sale. Thus avoiding these small orders where between fees and postage you loose money.
Regarding box orders from a buyer's perspective remember to include a copy of the order or as a minimum the order number and your user name. (Order number on its own is not enough as if you buy off multiple sellers at the same time they all get the same order number.) For a two card order it's likely not a big deal, but as an international buyer I often have hundreds of cards from dozens of sellers stored in the box. When I finally ship them home it is frustrating when you can't figure out who an order came from.
