I contacted a member on the site to buy some cards (they don't trade, just sell) and was given a price plus shipping for the cards (it was three lower value Chipper Jones cards I really wanted and a few other cards I threw in but Chipper is my main focus). I paid $13 shipped and they said they were sending them. Then I get a message that they also list on other sites and three of the cards were no longer available so they refunded me $2. I messaged back and asked which cards and of course they were the three Chipper cards that were the main reason I even bought from them. I messaged back and said I would rather just have a refund since the main cards I wanted aren't available. The response was that my message came after they shipped so the refund is not possible. Am I crazy for thinking this is a crappy way to treat the situation by doing a partial refund and sending before even communicating with the buyer?

Was the $2 refund agreed to be sufficient for the 3 key cards in the purchase? Or did the seller come up with that on his own? As discussed in other threads, cards are worth what someone is willing to pay fo rthem. If you looked at the purchase that $5 was for the Chipper cards and the rest for the other cards, then he owes you.
Yes, the other member has poor sales practices. But again, unless you identify him, others will also get taken by such actions.

Yes, they should not have even sent without your consent. Since they did, I say full refund or they go and purchase the exact missing cards and send them to you.

It was not agreed upon which is why I'm angry. I'll post the user's name if it's not made right. I'm also worried about leaving negative feedback and then getting retaliatory negative feedback from them.

I would dispute with the credit card or PayPal or what you paid with. I would state items received was not as promised and go for a full refund. I would mail his items back that they mailed you.
But since they did not notify you of the changes or that you agreed to the new transaction. The seller is now in error.

Statsnerd is correct. We don't need bad sellers muddying the water here so to speak. I like this site because it is almost always a streamlined trade or purchase. I think we need to know who they are so we don't fall for their shenanigans.

The user is bbcards. The original price was fair but handling the missing cards not so much so far. I'll update here once I get any kind of resolution.

I would make sure I used tracking to mail the cards/product back.
You don't want to open a possibility up that somebody can accuse you of mail fraud.

Yeah I told him I wanted a refund plus whatever shipping costs to send back with tracking.
