I made a suggestion that a new forum subject specific to mailing be created -- what I really would think would be awesome is if the USPS employees, current/former, could share their knowledge about how the mailing system works, what happens along the way, they types of machines and handling methods there are, the pitfalls, how to avoid them, etc.

I just got cards from a trade that were postmaked September 2nd last Saturday.

Another trader clued me into the "Informed Delivery" app. It's helped a little bit with letting me something was shipped to my address. It also shows me all the mail coming to my mailbox for that day. Helps me get motinved to go out to the mailbox. 

Patience is a virtue. Though it took 3 months to get to me, a PWE sent from AZ on Hallowe'en arrived 2 days ago. Never doubted USPS/Canada Post; sometimes it just takes a bit longer than other times. Still not the record though; that is 8 months from CA to here.

I have the informed delivery. It shows a scan of all the mail to be delivered that day. But there are times it shows to be delivered and doesn't show for 2,3,4 days after that.
