I actually only use one spot. Right in the middle of the page. Gotta keep all cards safe. Also you can't miss the way it makes the card standout when you put colored sheets in the other 8 pockets.
This was a complete joke but I do 9 cards.

Sorry I have never heard this. Been collecting since I was a kid and started using pages early 1980s. Learned about them probably around 78 or 79?

I wonder where this came from for me?! I don't think I was the only one of my friends who was doing it. So strange that nobody has any idea what I'm talking about.

Back when I first started storing cards in pages and I used regular 3-ring binders meant for paper instead of cards, I did run into a few issues where some cards in the lower right corners got bent up, but ever since I switched to the Ultra-Pro ones, I've never had that issue. (I do 18 cards per page, if that helps)

I'd never heard of leaving that page slot empty until reading this post. Thankfully, I have lots of experience turning pages in books. So I've always gotten away with filling the page without damaging the cards. 😃

I have heard of this many years ago....and at the flea market when I was a kid, the dealers would put a sheet of paper with the price of each cell in that space...have not seen that approach for many years since
when I put sets in binder now, I do take care to put the most expensive cards in the middle

I DO leave the 9th slot empty in my player and team albums, but not for fear of damage. That slot is left empty for expansion reasons. When I get a new card of that player or team, I will hopefully only have to move a few cards to put a new one in the correct spot. For complete sets, all slots get used. And if the set is large or a common set, I'll put 18 cards in each page.

I been doing binders now for 30+ years and i never not used a whole page unless the set didnt fill the whole pages. True the pages will bend but it depends on what binder you use and how full your binder is and do you have the binder snugged between other binders and the shelf
