I was hoping for some level headed advice. I have a pending trade going on 2 months. This trader has been the discussion repeatedly in forum posts about his trades. Gets in over his head, is notorious for how long it takes to mail his end, empty promises to a lot of people, you get the picture. I'm not naming names, but my question is this. I messaged him weeks ago asking about the cards. It wasn't until I mentioned negative feedback that I heard from him. Based off of experience I never mailed my end because of this. Lo and behold now his collection is gone and he's admitted he's disorganized. Now, I shouldn't have to chase after him regarding the trade. Leave negative feedback? Or wait until God knows when to maybe finally get my cards??????

2 months? Leave negative feedback and say you did, and that you will change it to neutral or positive if you receive your cards. I think that is the best choice.

We not only share a name but I anticipate we'll share this exact experience.
I agreed to a trade with the understanding they'd mail first as we've done previously. Allegedly they even pulled - a stipulation I requested before accepting. They've always come through with me, sometimes late, but I've never been stiffed. I also don't trade much more than a common card anyway.
You'd be within reason to leave negative feedback, and if they come through later add feedback referencing they finally completed their end.

I would mark the transaction Unfinished and it will go away. (60 or 90 days) As you have not sent his cards and he has not sent yours. If you really wanted those cards and could not find them some other place. I would message him. Asking if and when he finds them to let you know.
I would not give Negative or Neutral feedback unless you stated in the trade that he had to send 1st.
Unfinished transaction, no feedback and walk away lesson learned

I didn't send cards first because I've sent cards to him first in another trade, but it was involved in another account he had. Plus, countless other people here did the same thing and sent their cards first and had to hound him for months. True, he had cards I'd like to have but enough is enough. He's been told by so many people here to take his time and he ignores the advice given to him. He goes full blast, gets into 50+ trades and then can't deliver on trades for weeks and even months. He also has the same problem on an auction site and doesn't mail everything out and gets negative feedback. From here on out I'm declining any offers he sends, or whoever this new account is.

Save yourself the trouble, just block the account(s). No need to continuously decline after that.

If you had a negative trade experience then leave negative feedback. You don't need to justify it to others.

If I am understanding this both parties agreed to a trade but neither party sent any cards? I would mark this as unfinished but I don't see the negative feedback piece if neither party is out something.

I missed the part where you hadn't mailed either, Joshua, so the best option is marked as Unfinished and do not leave negative feedback, and move on.

Anyone who is in the Forums regularly is well aware of this member and his several aliases. Yes, he is notorious for being late / slow / never sending his cards in a trade. He has issues most of us cannot relate to but by now, this should be well known to all, be it through his feedback that is repeated in all of his aliases and in the frequent Forum threads people insist on repeating everytime they have a bad experience with him.
So why bring it up again? If you already had bad experiences with him and you know of his trading habits, then either do not Accept any trades with him or if you do Accept a trade, request him to send his cards first. If they never show up, then just leave it alone. No need to start another thread about it so people can rehash their own experiences. As for Negative feedback, I don't see why. You never sent your cards; the other member did not fail to meet your expectations, so leave it alone.
