Sorry I am new here. I inputted one of my sets. After looking back thru the set, I noticed after each card it gave a value. Where is the value being pulled from? I did not manually input it.

Card values are entered by members. Theoretically they should reflect actual sales in the market. Most members here do not trust the values on the site.

im thinking some are pulled from ebay but not entirely certain on that. You would think they could benefit from having a partnership in that regard, but ebay values are not the most absolute either. Sold values often vary widely. Result is you shouldnt really put much faith in most of the values you see tied to your entries.

Some are from EBay, some are from Sportlots, some of from Beckett Marketplace, some I am sure are from a purchase at an LCS, or Facebook, or Craigslist, or anywhere you can buy a card.
As with all prices, take them with a lot of salt. Your cards are only worth what someone will give you for them. Ultimately no number you find on any website will change that.

Never trust the pricing here. It is highly manipulated by others. Anyone can sign up and start posting prices for any reason they want. If you click on a price you can see the list of who and when it was changed and when you see the same name over and over they are changing the price for what they want. They do it many times because it works on an average of the last 5 listings.

What is that behind you!?! Oh, It's me! Looking at the cards you have, That I want. :)

Thanks for the great info! I know I will probably get beat up for this, but is there any way to come up with a price for a card lot? I am going through all my old cards, creating check lists, and trying to come up with a number using NM price for all the cards in that lot. What would be the best way to go about it?

There is not really a great way to price your collection through here. You could use a site like 130point that tracks completed EBay sales to look up specific cards to find prices. But again, keep in mind that what cards sold for last month, or even week is no guarantee that is what they will sell for tomorrow.

I belive that price/value/worth is highly personal and subjective and dependent. Are you pricing them for yourself? Or to sell? If its for yourself, I would just pick a source you like and use that- ie- Beckett or the like. If it's to sell, the price will depend on what someone is willing to pay. If its a "special" card (define that however you like), I often use ebay and check the Sold Auctions, if there are any, to see what others have recently paid for it. Condition comes into it also, as does timing and of course supply and demand... In short, price for yourself however you want. Price for others is a negotiation.

The issue that we have here is it takes the median of the last 9 sales. Therefore you may not be getting the best price applied.
