It may be a couple of years but I still think it is going to happen just like in the mid-nineties. I am only buying vintage right now if it is priced at normal prices and large lots of newer stuff being dumped by the "investors".

I Thinks a lot of us can't wait for it to crash and go back to normal. I was all pumped to go down and but two hobby boxes just to find them sold out. then when restocked prices were crazy on them and only had two for sale. all the online markets are way over priced.

I recently spent $25 for 600 cards (multiple lots put together) from 2015 - 2021 on Ebay. Like sandyrusty hinted at, maybe one can try to cash in on some cheap lots of new cards while waiting for the supposed crash and packs to become more accessible.

I've found buying at retail or Facebook market place is amazing. I've gotten some steals. Last one was 60k cards for $325 on Facebook 2 months ago. Almost the complete series one of 2021 baseball topps. Tons of 2010's stuff in there too.

I was there in the 90s and I totally agree.

This is why I make a rule for myself to never spend more than $5 for any single card. When buying lots I try to stick to 1 or 2 cents per card although for vintage I try to keep it under 25 cents per card for lots but I still stick to my $5 card limit.

Those of you who are buying these lots... Where do you find them? I've heard ebay and facebook marketplace. I dont really facebook much, but when I check out their market place its all small junkwax lots for $50 and other stuff that looks rather unappealing or it looksl like a scam. And ebay is worse. Just curious if there any secrets you can share...

I think it will come. Now two major retailers stopped selling collector cards. Where will people turn? And as buyers realize the cost of many other goods have gone through the roof, some may need to stop buying cards to have the money they need for groceries, fuel, lumber. Then people will be forced to sell collections to be able to afford the necessities. The inflated prices will come back down. Not back down to pre pandemic levels, but a little bit. Maybe...

They pop randomly. There is no method just right time and right place.
