Yep, the eBay standard envelope doesn't cover the non-machinable postage or the non-machinable square envelopes. I think if you are sending one or two cards inside a semi-rigid and inside thinner cardboard sandwich, it will be well-protected and will get through the machines just fine.
They also don't allow use of the eBay standard evenlope shipping option for shipments to FPO and APO military addresses. I've tried.

Thanks for clarifying my misunderstanding. I was under the impression that the eBay standard envelope covered the non-machinable charge. I stand corrected.

I've had no issues with tracking using the Ebay standard envelope method. - They're trackable to a certain extent BUT you can't do it through USPS which kind of defeats the purpose if something gets lost .

The main reason I started using the Ebay Standard envelop - Is Ebay was threatening to take away my Top Rated Seller Status for using non- trackable shipping. It's worked out great for me and saved my Top Rated Selller Seller status.

about the non-machine or Do Not Bend -- out of curiousity i went to the Post Office for my most recent shipment. I mailed out 5 cards in a PWE: i normally would just put a regular stamp on it , mark it, Do Not Bend/ Non Machine and never had a problem. Never a return with insufficient postage or my recieptent not having to pay.
However, when i took it to the post office and the guy saw it marked Non Machineable, the price went up to .95 cents. i didn't mention the fact that i normally mail it with just a regular stamp, but made me think: Do they "really" still not run through a machine? or do they really care even though thats what policy is suppose to be? or maybe they don't care and just had to meet a sales qouta that day?

If you put non-machinable in a mailbox, it will go through a machine regardless. If you hand it to a counter person it won't get machined. Your envelope must have been over 1oz. but less than 2oz. - Non-Machinable is .75 plus .20 for each additional oz. There is also an additional charge if it's over .25 inch thick. More reasons why it makes sense to use Ebay Standarad Envelope for Trading cards under $20.00. Especially if you can keep it under 3oz and less than .25 thick, I stamp mine with a rubber stamp "PHOTOGRAPHS - DO NOT BEND".

I used this shipping option for the first time but unfortunately am having a problem tracking. I used the ship24.com recommend by other users and can see that the items is marked as delivered. If the buyer claims it has not arrived, where should a missing mail claim be filed? Is it the USPS, or via eBay or some other website?

eBay standard envelope does not get scanned like a regular USPS tracking label. It is only scanned be th post office sorting machines. When it finally gets scanned through the machine at the zip code where it is to be delivered, it will show delivered. BUT it still could take a day or two before it ends up in the recipents mailbox. So if someone said they did not get the item, have them wait a few days to see if it arrives. As far as item showing delivered and recipent claiming did not get, I believe the buyer takes it up with ebay because it shows delivered. If item is lost, and shows no scan of delivered, seller file claim through eBay after 30 days. The seller still refunds buyer the money, and eBay reimburses seller throught the claim. I have not had to file a claim as of yet. I have received a card mailed this way over a month ago and the only scan was at the sellers post office.
