So what does the PO do ??? Go knocking on everybody's door to "recover" the mis-delivered mail (since not everyone would bother tossing it back into a mailbox or returning it to the PO) ??? Enlighten us please .

No, they are not SOL if misdelivered. They are only SOL if they don't bother to report the missing mail to the PO; called a trace. I've had tracked items not actually get delivered to me (misdelivered). The PO's procedures are that the intended receiver and sender both request a trace. I've always told the seller to request a trace and I also request trace on missing items. The missing items have always showed up within a few days. Same holds true for tracked items that haven't been delivered yet but are seemly "stuck" somewhere. I recently had a piece that was sitting "stuck" in a postal center. The sender submitted a query and within two days it was delivered. It was dirty and dusty as if it had been "lost" on the floor of the sorting room. https://youtu.be/TUYhWWhxdjc

Shows tracking of the cards - Which is both good and bad at the same time. Good because buyers can't claim they never recieved something if they did (because of the tracking) and Bad because if something gets Mis-Delivered the buyer is SOL if it doesn't get returned to PO or re-delivered properly(yes happened to me already and took another week to actually show up but that may not always be the case)
The only issue i would say is sometimes that type of service is hard to get the ebay app to accept when selling online so i have to fanagle it every once in awhile - This is another reason why sellers may not use it if they can't get it to go through right away (yep had a seller msg me about this very issue)

I have been using it.
Shows tracking of the cards, had 0 issues so far. Charges about 71-91 cents per envelope on single card purchases. I havent tried to send multiple cards.
You can then print out a label from your computer that is about 5x9... Its a little larger than that becuase i cut it down to fit on that size envelope and tape it on with packaging tape like a larger label.
So far 5 stars from me.

I recently had a card that wasn't delivered with ebay "tracking". (Notified that it was delivered but wasn't.) The seller responded to me that its a PO issue, since tracking/delivery is done by usps. I entered into usps tracking system, it says number is invalid, and when I went into po they said # isn't valid. Based on my 1 only experience with it, it comes across as a "feel good" for the seller and not any real way to track the package or any type if guarantee. Even when buying usps tracking it really is only a method to find out where it was last, if they can't find it at the last known location you're sol.
I recently had a card that wasn't delivered with ebay "tracking". (Notified that it was delivered but wasn't.) The EXACT thing I also posted about in this very thread (Mis-Delivered) and it finally showed up a week later (Saturday was mis-delivery I had it sitting in my mail Thursday after )
Even when buying usps tracking it really is only a method to find out where it was last, if they can't find it at the last known location you're SOL. but if something is truly lost you can fight to get your $ back . Something that's mis-delivered and marked as delivered really does leave the buyer SOL if not found because you have no recourse to get the $ refunded (since it's marked delivered)

I have used it and it has been great so far. I ship the cards in a semi-rigid holder. I put the semi-rigid in between a thank you card that I print myself and print the eBay label directly on a matching envelope. Costs me 0.51 to ship a single card and another 0.10 for the card/envelope, and it gets tracked. Near perfect system for lower priced cards.
I am simply trying to understand the system. I bought a card and it had ebay tracking, said it was delivered and was not. I informed the seller, and he said he would send again. A week after ebay said card was delivered, I received it (I assumed it was replacement) and then today I received the replacement, so instead of .99 for the card .10 for envelope and .51 shipping, the seller is out an additional .99+ .51 for shipping and another.10 envelope. If the seller is moving a bunch of cards the extra 1.60 could be a lot, it seems very far from perfect. (Usps indicated tracking # was invalid)
This just happened to me yesterday. Seeing David657's response I want to give it a few days to see if it comes.

Right . I like the idea of tracking for the cheaper cards but it's useless if the postal service can't find things that get mis-delivered (like mentioning the tracking # is invalid) . As the system is set up now it's tilted much more in favor of the sellers instead of as a way to protect buyers (because sellers are off the hook if something gets marked delivered but went to the wrong address)

Same thing happened to me . It took about a week for me to finally get the mis-delivered package at the proper address.
