I can get stuck on stupid on little things. There is a set thats driving me nuts and cant find a checklist for (1997 Viking components) I have #1 Lou Holtz....asked in here and got #3 Larry Bird, # 2 Reggie Jackson and #6Joe Montana...still missing 2. Anyone have a source for "obscure" sets? Googling brought up nothing and the company isnt in business anymore, at least not the original form 1997 (tried emailing new company in hopes that an old timer might have some info with no luck.) Does it simply get relegated to the "we may never know pile".(I keep thinking that they said the same about "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop"....its 3! lol)

the 2nd is more of an observation. Im new to the site and have my first trade in progress, as I add other cards Im getting more interest. That being said its funny how some people go about it had one guy send a freindly/humorous msg asking about a couple cards I have. He doesnt have anything I really want, but Ill trade with him just because he was freindly....then theres the other type...a msg saying that reads like...you have cards I want! tell me what you want immediately! (no matches) Doesnt a simple rule apply??? (you get further with honey than with vinegar) or did the social aspect of card trading go out the window? lol I could understand it better if they had cards I wanted

Try looking at comc.com or ebay for the rest. Without a complete checklist it will be relegated to your special collection apart from tcdb.

You'll run into all kinds trading here, mostly good but each has his/her own way of dealing. Just check feedback to get an idea of each member's rating. You can even email the people who traded with that person for more info if you wish.

Just decline the offers if they have nothing you want.  I never propose a half- trade if I know I have nothing the other guy wants.  So you're ok to ignore an offer like that.

I actually took a member's wantlist to an LCS once to look for a card off his small, specific wantlist so I could offer him a trade for a card I wanted.  Even used the shop-owner's tablet to search his inventory.  But I found nothing.

I asked about adding something under the Resources area. (3 years ago)  Where there would be a list of places we can look and find check lists other then the companies that are listed now..   I did not get any real reply about it.
