These are my major goals for 2021.
- Complete my organization of football, basketball, and hockey, which includes both my personal collection and traders. I'm about 80% through with football, 90% with basketball, and 50% with hockey;
- Add a few wall displays to my office including tributes to Willie Mays (which would have a drawing one of my granddaughters drew) and possibly to either players, team, or small sets.
- Continue a purge of collecting certain players that I really was not a fan of so that I may focus only on who I did cheer for. In 2020 I quit collecting Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Marcus Allen, and Gerrit Cole. The candidates this year are Derek Jeter, Albert Pujols, and Eric Dickerson; none are on the trade block, yet, but be on the lookout. There are others, too, but these are the big names.
- Rookie cards are important to me and this year I've been able to acquire a few via trade and purchase: Jim Palmer, Catfish Hunter, Johnny Groth, Don Mueller, Felipe Alou, Jim Kaat, Gaylord Perry, and the 1962 Rookie Parade #598 which I finally found within my budget (as was the case with all of these). This next year I wish to increase my player collection to include more of those missing RCs: various OPC versions of the Topps I have, Yaz (maybe a dream to go along with Mays, Dark, Meredith, Maravich, and Ryan because $20 is my limit on any one card), Jim Piersall, Rusty Staub, and Ivan Rodriguez to name a few.

Ooh, I like this thread. For 2021, in order of likelihood:
1) Pass 1,000 Mets autographs. (I'm at 986 right now, so this one should happen.)
2) Finish the 1978 (102 left) and 1979 (276 left) Topps sets, and start working on 1977 and 1975. (1976 is done.)
3) Organize my card shelf/binder/display area in my office and list for trade everything I really don't need.
4) Find the White Whale: the 2005 Topps Fan Favorites Kevin McReynolds Rainbow Auto /10. (Someday.)

I've been a big fan of this thread every year for quite some time, and I always hit my goals nicely, but this year I'm a bit adrift. Sure, I'll get the Topps Gypsy Queen set (minus short prints) and the 2021 Factory set. Oh, I guess I aim to get all the Topps Cubs base cards from 1953 on, minus the Banks rookie. Other than that, I'd just like to keep plugging away at the 1965 through 1968 sets. And pick up a single card from other old odd-bally sets from the 30s and 40s. My collection is organized; it's all here on the website. I could stand to trade a bit more, maybe. Mostly, just keeping having fun with the hobby. I might have to add a shelf to the Last Topps Card of Every Hall of Famer Who Has a Topps Card display, so that'll take some carpentry...
Happy collecting!

I'll jump on the "be better organized" bandwagon lol. Need to sort my "for trade/sale" cards better and also finish uploading them to the site.
Get more trades done in 2021. WIll be easier to do that once my cards are more organized.
Start and finish some vintage hockey (Toronto Maple Leafs) team sets from 69/70-88/89.
Would also like to add more image scans of cards ( I have in hand) that are missing right now. Need to find a better way of doing that other than the 1 card at a time that I've been doing. Scan front, flip card, scan back lol. Can be very time consuming.

Like most. Need to get organized. My wife has been giving me a look everytime I get more cards in. Hoping getting organized might help.
Also going to work on getting more specific with my collection. I've jumped around so much and I need to get better at figuring out what I want most instead of having so many random things. With this I'm also hoping to trade/sell some cards to get ones I actually want.
This last one kinda goes with the previous one. Stop looking at what others say should be in a collection. I've gotten caught up in hype of other cards before and purchased cards that ultimately I don't care about.

Every year I make the same sort of goals and every year I've all but abandoned them. I'll try again anyway.
- Get all of my loose cards added to my collection. I have a handful of complete sets I need to sort and add to the collection. I also have a handful of singles that need to be added as well. Right now I don't physically have the space for organization as everything gets put into whatever card box I can find then placed under my bed. So maybe some day I will get properly organized but not this year.
- Get less distracted by shiny new products. I always plan on being more focused but then some new product shows up and I lose my focus. It makes it tough to work on my PC and set building when I buy random products. I need better discipline.
- Try to finish more sets. Set building has always been my primary focus when collecting. It's a thrill to complete a set so I need to do more of it.

Well, this year I surpassed 50 transactions over the course of around 5 months of elapsed time. So my first one would be to trade with 5 new members. My number two would be to gain 100-150 more 1964 Topps cards for my collection. My number 3 is a long shot, but to host a card show with my local card shop

Goals for 2021 To FINALLY COMPLETE 1 - 752 of the 1971 Topps Baseball Set , & Then work on completing it in SGC.
Also to start up a Youtube channel / show etc. 1 about sportscards and also my collection and talk some baseball with folks. Also to tie that in with if I get enough viewers to show off I have been buying product when & where I can of the 2018 Topps series 1 stuff from walmarts brand of boxes / packs for the Kris Bryant Highlight cards . I figure I would try to just open my with enough of the product on hand towards getting my FIRST ever Rainbow collection in trying to complete at least 1 # in that KB series in each form I.E. White , Blue , Black Gold , Red , Autograph #/5 , & last but actually Least #/1 Platinum.
Other than that the usual work on completeing sets I am working on basic or insert or otherwise. As always add to my CUBS & Greg Maddux collections.
-------------------------------
Got my collection kind of split up in 3 places in two seperate states. So I am willing to trade but might take me a bit to find the cards from my Trade / Sell list. So please message me first so that I can take some time to find the cards you would be interested in. Whether it's an hour or 2 months or etc. I would get back to you after locating the card or cards.
