I had that problem recently with a couple of late 1990s baseball factory sets I bought. I had a solution that helped a bit. It's hard to explain, but I'll do my best. I found that if I took them apart bit by bit, kind of like turning the page of a book, there were problems. If I lifted up a card all at once, kind of like lifting it up with all five fingers as if you're lifting something straight up out of a canister, it seemed to help. Again, that's hardly perfect. I hate the bricks. 

Other things would freeze over before my wife would ever let me take up freezer space for 110 days!

Most of my bricked cards are mid 90s junk wax that come from a bulk card purchase that I bought for $20 (for 10,000 cards) so at about 5 cards to a penny I am not sweating it.

NEVER put them in the freezer! It's dry heat you want. The freezer will only bind them together just like it does with water. It the moister making them stick together you don't want the moister to freezer sold.  Dry heat lots of dry heat for days. I live in southern NM, humidity is zero here and summer days get to 100+ I just put them in my metal storage shed with some silicon packs around them for a few weeks. Then when you take them out you twist the brick Never peal. You will still lose a few that is going to happen. But you will recover more with dry heat. You could also put them in a zip lock bag with a bunch of silicon packs for a week or two.  I have a silicon pack in every card box to stop it from happening. You can buy them, they are really cheap.
