Maybe this digital trading card thing will take off afterall? It's getting expensive to acquire a physical piece of cardboard through the mail.

yeh crazy.. i've actually taken items in packed in a regular box and checked to see shipping cost based on weight. If its not, then i take it right there and put in a Flat Rate box.

UPS and FedEx actually reduced their prices for a lot of the sizes of boxes that USPS considers flat rate. If you print online, I would check these others out as it may be more economical.

Were they valuable cards tonym? I trade a lot of low value cards and I think I could ship those in a PWE for about $.70? I hate spending my hobby budget on postage.

i wouldn't say they were valuable on the Price side of things.. there was a couple Panini Black, (thicker stock), with a rookie auto in it. So i have them in individual top loaders and the two other larger top loaders containing the remaining. For me-- i just have a habit of sending what i think important cards in a bubbler, or larger quanities in a bubbler or box.

You guys need to check on USPS and order some Regional Rate boxes that come out cheaper than medium and large flat rate boxes. They're free and send you about 10 per order. You just print the postage at home. One of my trade partners saved $6.00 using them. I use them on larger trades.
