I was on the fence about purchasing with that MSRP, but then they put it on sale (or wait did they!), not sure I can pass this up!

I'll admit basketball cards are not really in my wheelhouse, but when fleer released this box they had an MSRP pricier than most vehicles and some homes in 1986!

No wonder Fleer went out of business. You could buy 2 boxes of Transcendent for that MSRP! Even the sale price!! ------------------------------- I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Hmmm...something seems fishy to me...

Look for Key Rookies Including:

Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon, Dominique Wilkins, and many more!!

Ewing and Karl Malone were rookies in 1985.

Olajuwon, Jordan, and Barkley were all drafted in 1984.

Drexler in 1983

Wilkins in 1982.

I'm certsainly no basketball expert, but it seems a little silly to call a card from the 1986-87 season someone's "rookie card" when he's been in the league for 3 or even 4 years. Maybe their first cards (especially from that company), but is it really a rookie card?

Beckett wouldn't recognize the Star Company cards as true rookies because we didn't pack out the cards (they were sold as team sets to hobby dealers). We fought them for YEARS. Took several years before they'd even LIST the Star Co cards!

A real bargain at just under $1200 per pack. If you manage to pull a Jordan in every single pack you just might break even!

I placed an order with Steel City just a day or two after Christmas and took advantage of their end of the year sales. That package came with a scratch off card that netted me a $5 gift card to their site. If anyone wants to buy this box you can have the code...
