As I continue to remove signs of the previous residents (my kids have moved out), the rec room continues to be transformed. This is my latest acquisition. I had picked up the jersey, the photo and the writeups at two different auctions. I took a random 4 cards from my traders (no longer for trade if they were the only one I had) and had a friend who owns a framing shop mount all of it in one frame. It now hangs at the bottom of the stairs as you go down to the rec room - first thing you see. The 2 corner cabinets are mostly of Ryan (right side) and Rose (left side).
I am very happy how it turned out.

Love it! The only change I might make is using card #s 2-5 of 1986 Topps in the card slots to show a greater variety of his cards, or perhaps including a (sacreligious) 86D King of Kings in place of one of those. One of my greatest live sports experiences was being at the pictured game he broke Cobb's record. Great setup!

Quite the gamble, but it looks like it was a very good payoff. I bet you are pretty happy with how it turned out. Odds are most of us on here like it just as much, myself included.

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project. |
