Man, am I glad you asked this question (RobaFett, excellent username btw!) as it's a topic I'm very passionate about lol.
So, I was searching, comparing, and trying out various kinds of binders for years until I discovered what I believe to be the best possible binder for card collecting, the Avery EZ-D 4" or 5" view binders. They have a very unique and gentle curve to the ring itself, which minimizes any chance of the cards being bent by the ring on the far end when you are browsing your collection. And because the ring is taller and straighter than other D-rings, it fits far more pages in a safer fasion than any other binder I've tried. The only drawback is that the ring does have a bit of a gap at the bottoms and page lifters are a must, but other wise, it's the only kind of binder I use in my collection - 9 binders full so far. I'd post some pictures, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to with this site lol. Hope that helps.

Sorry, I have another M.J. Roop binder question. Did they always only include only the base set on the checklist, or did they also include inserts?

AtarianX, to post pictures on this site, they have to be from an internet source, e.g. Facebook or the Cloud. I upload pictures to my facebook photo album (with only me as able to see) and then copy the picture from there to here. Works well.

Posting pictures in a forum post - Pic must be hosted on the web somewhere (I use Facebook, just when I upload those images, I set the setting to "only me" so no one on FB sees them, but when I view the pic, I can get the web address and use it here).
I'm sorry, but I got a chuckle out of the "9 binders". I just got 9 binders over the last couple months to add to the 150^ or so I already have. :) Not all of those are 4" or 5", mostly 2" or 3". Most contain sets, and I try to fit the binder to the set (I'm not putting a 200-card set in a 5" binder). The Phillies collection and the HOF collection are in serious need of binder "standardization", and I'm in the process of doing that (what the most recent 9 binders will help with). "Right-sizing" is key to optimal usage, storage, and protection.
^ - this number could be closer to 200, but I am not sitting where they are, and I didn't want to possibly over-estimate.

Vroomed - lol, fair enough, but I only just started collecting again a few years ago. I'll catch up eventually though!

Sounds good - maybe I can help add to your binders. When I get home tonight, I'll see if I have anything you collect.

Another binder that has been mentioned in previous binder threads is UniKeep. I don't have any of these, but they do occasionally have sales. I think they keep the cards better protected, however, they only have sizes from .5 to 1.5 inches. The "rings" are plastic, or you can get the 1" metal O-ring. Personally, I much prefer D-rings and believe they are safer for the cards.

I chuckled at the "9 binders" remark as well. Just my Cardinals collection is more than that (only by 1). For the athletes and teams that I collect in 4 sports, I have 34 binders (mostly 3" or 4"). And that doesn't count my complete sets or non-sport cards. My albums of traders are about that many too, but I have so much more in boxes now. I probably won't put any cards that are in boxes from the massive auction haul a few months ago into albums.
I'm not making fun of you AtarianX. I understand that you haven't been collecting that long. I've collected for 30+ years with very few breaks in collecting and amassed quite a bit of cards!

Ultra pro still makes them but you usually have to buy them online. I use to use them a lot for there binders but the newer ones seem to have minor issues with the clasps. BCW is much easier to find and work really well. Every thing else supply wise is Ultra Pro. You can also use Avery Binders as you suggested. Those are top quality binders.
