As a member who made his first trade this week, I fully understand the caution put forward by the members. I would have the same caution myself if I was in the same position.

I'm sorry all of you are going through this. I for one have never made a trade on TCDB. I am always afraid of this happening.

You shouldn't be afraid to trade here. Just b/c there are a few bad people out there doesn't mean you should be afraid to trade online. I've made over 500 trades online in the past 10 years and only once have I had a problem with receiving my end of the trades (and it wasn't on this site). That one issue was eventually resolved too. You shouldn't be scared to trade online, just know who you are dealing with and make sure they have a good reputation. I haven't had a problem trading with anyone on this site so far. But I always pay attention to who I'm trading with and make sure they have a good reputation. I do the same thing when buying cards from ebay or any other site. Feedback means everything in this hobby! Good feedback almost always means a reliable trader/seller/purchaser. Phil Schuber has been a rip-off artist for nearly a decade now by floating from one site to another and back again with multiple User ID's everywhere he goes. Those of us that have been around the community long enough know his name and his games. And that's why we try to warn others. Don't fear online trading! Try it with some members here that have lots of positive feedback and you won't be disappointed.

Let's fix that. I'd like the Radovan Somik card on your tradelist. It's way too late to go digging into my trade stash tonight but I will put together a group of Flyers for you. Five to ten (whatever I can fit into a team bag) for one. Most likely will be newer stuff- I only started collecting the NHL about 2 years ago, but I also have a decent supply of early 90s stuff if you still need any.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Whoops, I accepted a trade from AcunaBill before reading this thread. I figured just one card each, no big deal to help out a new member. However I'd rather not enable this person by sending the card. Is there a way after accepting the trade to back out cleanly?

Mark it as "Problem". It should take it out of your active trades. Then go leave him a deserving Feedback.

See Billy's post from earlier. He'll happily do a trade with you and walk you through how trades work on here. He's one of the best we have here. Shoot him a message.

LithiaLion2 got me a few weeks back..Fortunately the cards were low value..
What I don't understand is what he looking to gain through all of this? Unless he's getting people for higher dollar cards, he's putting a lot of effort into getting sports card that, in the big picture of thing, really aren't worth that much money..
Seems like he could be using his criminal mind for much larger endeavors than sports cards..
